Hey, stop making fun of Anderson 🤣
I use JB Weld….
Yet they say these rifles are the most superior lol !
The upper contains everything that affects mechanical accuracy, the sighting system, barrel, and bolt. The lower just holds the trigger, mag, and recoil spring. Nothing on the lower with slop when attached to the upper will make your round go off target. The bullet is still going where your sights are.
This is a solution looking for a problem. The accuwedge just makes it harder to break your gun down. With heavy use and regular take downs, an accuwedge can get dislodged and get into your trigger mechanism, killing your gun until you can remove your trigger mechanism. All the comments I read here of people putting anything else between the upper and lower to remove slop are just begging to have issues. Of course, anyone actually worrying about this and doing diy fixes probably aren't shooting their guns to get a malfunction anyway. If they did, they'd realize this isn't even an issue in the first place.
No dust shield?
If will make it better but still some wobble
solves nothing.
One of these fixed the issue on my first AR. The problem? It was a Geissele AR. >.>
Would you mind showing us?
They work, but when you open it up to clean the gun, youll fprget about it and itll fall on the floor, you wont see it and itll be gone forever.
So just get an aero m4e1 lower.
Also an o ring on the front take down pins… Cleans things up too
That's why I buy hand fitted receivers.
Upper and lower play doesn't matter at all. It does not affect accuracy or anything else.
lol he said on cheap ars my knights armament and Daniel Defence all have slop in em boy !!!!!😅😅
Only use those M4E1 for builds. The ease of the bolt catch and rear takedown also… ya know… if they’re available lol
Duck tape on top of take down lugs works the best. It’s hidden and doesn’t cause carrier tilt.
Aero has an adjustment screw.
I did not know this was a thing.. maybe someday I would buy a high dollar AR and put one of those.❤
Huh, didn't even know that was a thing. All my builds have been nice and tight. PSA, Radical, Del-Ton, zero issues.
Didn't even realize that with the aero lower.
Thanks for beta on the adjustment screws for the Aero lowers, made my day
I rather use krylon paint
My Knights Armament wobbles. My LMT does not.
Durka
With one of these and a #7 o ring on the front. Itll make it rock solid.
In a pinch, I used two foam earplugs.
My sig m400 tread came with one. Definitely makes for a tighter rig.
What will yall do when they completely ban AR's ?
I COULD SELL A BILLION OF THOSE WEDGES TO THE MILITARY..🪖🇺🇸 🫡
I'm wanting to get an AR but given that I don't get to the range a ton and not gonna be like competition shooting. what is a good, not necessarily budget, but a more affordable option that will be reliable for home defense as well?
Dude! You used to rail my stepmom back in the day. How the hell have you been?!
lower tier'd ar's? shit my daniel defense has more play in it than my PSA Saber does.
Tight fitting is actually non-Mil Spec.
I had that much play in every M16 I shot.
I don't see how the slop would affect accuracy, but it can be annoying which certainly could if it bothers you enough
Put a small rubber washer where the upper and lower meet on the front takedown pin. Cheapest fix ever, just get a whole bag of the washers and you can use em all sorts of places
I just use a couple of rubber o rings
How do u make the recoil spring not sound like an old box spring bed in a whore house?
O-ring does the trick for me. I keep spares in my grip.
The type of people to use this are the type of people to get really expensive off-road trucks and not take them off road.
My Daniel defense does that , it’s kinda embarrassing
Смешная борода, бро.
A small peice of coat hanger does the same thing
Fixed the wobble on my M4 with a little bit of Red Bull can.
It's called mil spec. Tier is not really at play.
When I was in the army my M16 and my M4 had all the play in the world
Biggest waste of money out there. Clear sign of a sucker if you have one in your gun.
Fun fact, the wobble vanishes when a a magazine is installed.
Nothing but a gimmick. The sights/optics and barrel are mounted to the upper. As long as there is no play there, your “precision” will only be as good as your ability and the ability of the chosen ammo. Same as with precision rifle. If you wish to buy this type of item, more power to you! But it isn’t for accuracy. It’s because you want it.
I use a earplug and they work great
