Nice job Good video I am a Marine expert and I love when I hear people that don't know anything say that an AR-15 is only maximum effective range is like 500 yards I always laugh at those people I automatically know they're not Marines I have nothing but respect for your friend the seal God bless you guys thanks for the show.
Now let’s see M855A1 lethality
Impressive. 1MOA gun has a cone of fire about the size of that target so best to just keep the same hood and send a few in rapid succession. Best part about making this shot in real life is that 77 is already subsonic. So you’ll get a few cracks at it before he runs away.
Now try that again and this time the perp is wearing a level 4 plate. Shoot at 500 yards. Shoot at 50 ft. Shoot at 10 ft center mass and see the result. I guarantee the perp will be able to shoot back at you every time.
Given when I trained – 5.56 was effective to 750metres (820 yeards) 900 to 1000 at a push doesnt surprise me… when working recon, it was often engagements of between 450 to 700 meters unless running covert CT patrols…
I’ve never heard this guys normal voice before
How many grains do you used for long range on 5.56
its a matchking bullet……thats what the snipers use. "not coming apart" doesnt matter.
Wait, you didn't know humanoid was a word?
It’s funny how people always explain their safety scenario like the guy behind the berm. We’re watching on YouTube man, our safety isn’t at risk, yours is. So there’s no need to explain any of that. We don’t care.
Really enjoyed watching this video on what 5.56 can really do.

I’ve seen wound channels on game I’ve hunted and the amount of damage is far worse than most people realize. It’s not like a movie GSW.
Also a 5.56 green tip through a Toyota truck will completely destroy a human skull 😂
Ramadi 2003
That 1000 yard shot is probably the most lethal. Could easily take out the superior aorta and vena cava.
What if an Alaska fisherman used an AR 5.56 as a side arm for a close range bear attack? Vs someone using say a 44mag? The pistol would maybe get only one shot off. Maybe two. The AR gets off 6-8 rounds.
Which one wins??
save you all the time. yes a 5.56×45 nato round is 1000% percent lethal at 1000 yards.
Name of the suppressor of the 556 ?
I seriously doubt it would go through a real flesh and Blood human being. You can push your finger through the chest of that thing , you're not gonna be able to push your finger through the chest of a real human being hell , I bet if you put a heavy jacket on it , the bullet would stop
What’s the barrel length
Shit, even a BB hurts !!😅 at 100 feet 🦶
you know what else jiggles
This guy’s like wtf aim for my other side
Try the AR-10 it's got the longest barrel
Couldn't even land a head shot at 1000? Psshhh. 😅😅
What barrel length and scope mag range?? Thanks
I think the word "hydrostatic" needs to be retired.
Hear me out.
Static means "sitting still".
Hydrostatic shock is what killed those rich people in that stupid sub when they wanted to look at the Titanic before forever joining it.
What the bullet is doing is "hydrodynamic" shock. Because the velocity of the bullet is the main component in its lethality.
Ballistics and humans are unpredictable.
I am a former Marine Corpsman and current ICU RN. A needle thoracentesis isn't necessary if there is an exit wound most of the time, the air and or blood has a way out to keep intrathoracic pressure normalized. If the bullet didn't exit, there would be build up of pressure from blood (hemothorax) or air (pneumothorax) and and thoracentisis is necessary. Hemothorax however….you are likely fucked.
How long is the barrel? I guess 16 or 18?
god damn mr beast intro
I do appreciate doing what people have wished for a long time. Testing what people want to see. The only gripe that I have with the video is the fact that no one ever puts a teashirt over the dummy. Clothing won't do much but its more realistic than shooting a naked man. Its not perfect that it could still make variables 😊
Next time, put a heavy cloth shirt on the target. I wonder how much this would impact the performance. Especially military cammies.
I love ya dude. But one of my deployments to Afghanistan we got into a knarly little gunfight at the end of the deployment and my Plt Sgt took a round straight through the shoulder, just meat. Sure the damage is a channel, but its hydra shock (water which is what we are mostly made from) bruises and damages for sure. But thats what it is.. mostly bruises and just impact damage. He was find a few months later, and in a year or two had full use of his shoulder. Sure what this is 24 years later, if its going to rain his shoulder hurts. But he can use it just fine.
