I guess my concern would be knowing all the torque settings. My "build" is a DelTon lower and a S&W upper that i've been tinkering and upgrading for about the last year
I get the point about not everyone having all the tools in the world but I rebuilt my grandfather AR that was not built properly from a genuine builder with a pair of players a pipe wrench and some other simple tools. It does not take all the "proper" tools. I will give you the shipping and handling from multiple vendors but you gave crazy numbers for the stripped lower when you would be paying the same or more for the completed rifle as most manufacturers cost a higher shipping cost for comp!dated weapons rather than stripped or semi compressed lowers.
I build a quality AR for around $900 including a inconel gas tube.
The days of 2k ARs claiming they shoot better or are more reliable than a 1k gun are over.

Yep… and you can buy a $3500+ rifle and have it lock up, fail to fire, fail to eject or extract, or anything else go wrong and you have to RETURN it and wait for them to fix it under warranty because YOU CAN'T WORK ON IT!
My case? How about a gas key that needed sealed and the screws tightened.
B S!! You just want people to buy a full rifle for $2000
The only thing people need to get are a quality is a bolt carrier and a barrel. Ballistic advantage makes a decent entry-level barrel. And you can get a nice bolt carrier from Faxon for about $100 and a decent ballistic advantage barrel for $150
A mil-spec receiver can be found for around $65 you can get a decent handguard for about $100 a parts kit for around $30 an assembled upper receiver from Aero for about $120 flasher $10 buffer tube with spring and buffer kit you can get a decent one for $60 a pistol grip is around $20
And you don’t need a lot of fancy tools just an armor wrench, and a torque wrench for AR’s you can find on AMZ for around $65 so yes, the gospel is real. I built my first AR for less than $700 with mostly quality components.
This is just a starting point people can upgrade it later on to much better parts if they want So How much more money do you want people to spend on an entry-level rifle?
