Comparison of a 50 and 100 yd zero for a 300 Blackout when shooting Supersonic and Subsonic Ammo. Interesting and useful results with the EoTech Exps 3-2 (2 dot reticle).

Does your sub not lock back? I noticed at 3:56 that you had to charge
Set it 36yrd you'll be good out to 300 125gr sst
16" Barrel
Thanks for doing the Lord’s work!
Do a 25 yard zero.
I have the same optic. Very helpful.
I must have missed when he said who made the lower? Also, does anyone recommend a folding stock on an AR? Wondering if it’s worth it.
I’ve been running a 9” MCX with a can and a EXPS 3-2. I zerod the bottom dot with subsonics at 25m. Funny enough the 125GR Winchester Open Tip Range (supersonic) rounds coincidentally impacted the top dot when I did this, ultimately giving me a Dot with a sub and super zero. Haven’t tested past 25M but I don’t plan on shooting it farther than that anyway.
Does a 50yd zero also hold true at 200yd?
If you want us to give a fuck about this test, please redo this with a vice
Your supersonic rounds are even quiet
That made absolutely no sense. Plus, when you carelessly laid your rifle in the dirt repeatedly, I was hoping for a drill sgt. to appear and kick you right in the ass, as you deserve.
I see in the comments about barrel lengths, twist rates, grain weights but nothing about the muzzle velocity from YOUR RIFLE. I decided on a 30/50yrd zero based on the average of 985fps from my rifle with a can using 220gr subs(rated@1070fps on the box). This gives me virtually flat trajectory from 20-60yrd and a drop of (rounded off) 1.5@70, 2.5@80,4@90,@6@100. I think this is perfect for close up home protection. All the other stats can be the same but end up with differing muzzle velocities. A chronograph will determine the velocity from your rifle and with using an accurate BC give better result to look at and help you, on paper, to decide on your best zero. I’m still evaluating the possibility of a dual point blank zero for both supers and subs or just dialing in a zero correction on my scope if I’m ever using the supers that I have.
What distance did you zero it? I don't think you mentioned
9in gunner barrel from Faxon, 200 grain subs with 36 yard zero. Not worried about father than 100 yards. Have a 556 for that😮
Great vid.
I currently have a 50 yard zero with subs, but the ballistics of an 85 zero look compelling. 1" high at 25, 2" high at 50, and 2" low at 100, and 7" low at 125
There’s not much of a reason to not run somewhere around a 150-200 yard zero with light supers in 300 blackout. This probably equates to a short range zero of 25-30 yards. The old 2” high at at 100 yards that hunters use works well. Subsonics are another story altogether.
Im going to try the 36yd zero. I wouldve like to have seen this test for it.
VERY BAD explanation of what you are trying to show. Made hardly any sense!
What grain though
Kentucky windage and the Blackout was made for eachother.
Maybe archery experience helped, but have found it very affective.
A red dot with two dots and two adjustments, one set for subs and one for supers would be nice. Depending if you turn it to subs or supers determines which dot is alluminated.
Great video to bad you don't have that many followers
What jacket is that?
watch "Mountains, Mullets, Merica " He showed three different (Battle) near & far zero's w/ 220 sub's , 11yrds to 110 yrds , and 25 yrds , 35 yrds . Of course each one has a different trajectory arc . The 11 to 110 had a +6" high point at 80 yrds . He runs 125grain out to 500 + yards . The 110 vmax at 2100+fps is absolutely DESTROY'S HAM . " Beyond Seclusion" Drew test all the rounds on expired Hams. Devastating results 110vmax, 115 , 125 , 150, 190 , 220 must watch video ! Nice work Buddy 👍😎❤
Barrel length?
Good video I’m gonna have to test this with my set up. 7.9” what ever Noveske makes, but the 100y looks solid
Solid visual representation of the differences between subs and supers at range, good information, thank you.
