If those states can't ban them, they'll just enact their own versions of the NFA and make you get a license for them, register them, and pay an expensive tax on them.
To GVR Duncan v. Bonta MUST be settled by the SCOTUS. They’ve already GVR’d it once and a second time won’t change anything, other than delay, delay, delay.
Mark, you say,”it doesn’t affect people owning them…”. Well, it does. You’ll still get busted by the police and have to go to court to “prove” your innocence. This costs time & money to defend against, and there’s no guarantee of winning.
IMHO Duncan should have been heard first as a platform to settle, restate, etc:
1.The meaning of an arm for Bruen's 1st part to include ANY part that changes, even in the most minor way, the functionality of an arm
2. magazine limits themselves are unconstitutional
3.What is Dangerous
4.What is Unusual and clarify that the test is ANY lawful use
And totally get rid of red flags laws while they’re at it!

Will it matter for Washington State? The snakes we have here always twist these decisions to justify the bans here
But will it help get rid of laws in states like NY where you have register them, get permits for them, and not have pistol grips, folding stocks, forward grips, and threaded barrels? Because even if they rule they can’t ban them the states will immediately rewrite the laws requiring permits and banning accessories. They know it will be another 10-20 years before those new laws are challenged. And what about capacity will that be included?

Do you care to predict what their next angle of attack will be in their future rounds of anti-gun legislation? If the left was scared enough to take a chance and assassinate Trump while campaigning for president what makes you think the left isn’t scared enough to try and assassinate a conservative Supreme Court justice? At oral argument in Viramontes the court and the state were pushing hard that our side didn't follow procedures on development of the record. Is this something that could hurt at Supreme Court, or is it a non issue because they were being asked to develop it in a manner that isn't true to Bruen?

Best case scenario is we win that AR15 rifles can not be banned. Means Zero effect for most. Unless they spell it out to the contrary, most states already don't outright ban AR15 type rifles. What they do is make it so restrictive and controled it's basically a single shot fixed mag, fixed stock, no muzzle device, no threaded barrel, no bayonet lug, no foward grips, etc..black club. So there, have your AR15, its not baned. What a Joke, and that's when the states don't just outright ignore any pro 2A SCOTUS rulling.

This is backfiring very badly in Virginia; Governor Abigail Spanberger, who totally flipped upon being elected, and Virginia Senator Sadam Salim, an immigrant from Bangladesh and now a State Senator in Virginia absolutely swore to disarm ALL Americans, beginning in Virginia and taking that decision to most other states. Now hoping the #SCOTUS rules in favor of the 2A, because if it doesn't, America is already a tinder box and it would explode, with Conservatives finally showing the justifiable anger they have been withholding for a couple of years now…… This looks like they (SCOTUS) will rule in favor of AR-15's being PROTECTED ARMS under the Second Amendment. Anti Second Amendment states will go back to their legislatures and redefine WHAT IS AN AR15 to a point where it no longer resembles what we all know to be an AR15 and its characteristics. We'll still be fighting the nuances in the decision for years.
2. The Supreme Court Will decide in favor of the Second Amendment but there'll be no definitive, strong language in the ruling. There will be words like if, but, and maybe, and other squishy language that will merely invite more lawsuits on the same subject. I hope I’m wrong.

I wonder what impact this will actually have. In NYS they did not ban ARs or so called "Assault Rifles" They banned certain rifles, pistols and shotguns with particular features or combinations of features. I think their response will be just that. You can have your featureless gun, no change at all. That being said, it still is a big move in preventing the next move of the anti-gun establishment. Perhapse this is a good topic for a future video

As a veteran, I have never seen the logic in trying to ban AR-15 style rifles. A 12 gauge does as much, if not more damage within 75 feet. In Illinois, there are a ton of gun laws that have been passed over the last 50 years, but they have not had a real impact on "illegal guns" in the hands of violent offenders, since these are not the peoplee buying guns legally.
The birthright citizen was the most important thing for this country and the Supreme Court failed us on that. Now we are going to become a third world nation, just a matter of time.
