Remember when you save $5 on a can of gun cleaner …. your using the cheap stuff on your $1000 race gun. dont get any on you C-more it will turn into pudding.
Gas. Doesn't attack plastic. Make sure to make sure it's dry before use. Cheap baby oil, aka clipper oil, aka mineral oil for lube. Wd40 for the range. Gun stuff is overpriced nonsense. Read the msds sheets.
I buy the 2 and a half gallon jug for $22.00 at Lowes or Homedepot. How to Use Simple Green for Gun Cleaning: Dilute: Mix Simple Green with distilled water (some suggest a 50/50 mix or just a splash). Soak/Ultrasonic: Place gun parts in the solution, often in a Ziploc bag within an ultrasonic cleaner, for a short time (e.g., 3-5 minutes). Rinse Thoroughly: After cleaning, rinse parts thoroughly with plain distilled water to remove all cleaner residue. Lubricate: Apply a dedicated gun lubricant (CLP) to all moving parts and surfaces to protect against corrosion and ensure smooth operation.
Simple Green is another relatively safe household product that also works very well on firearms. If you've taken some AGI courses such as the Armorer's Course for Glock Pistols, then you've seen/heard Master Gunsmith Ken Brooks use Simple Green to clean both polymer and metal parts of a gun
Back in the day some people were using it. Because it works so well.. but the downside is it would destroy a polymer gun if you got any on it not immediately, but it would take a few times the polymer would crack.. would not highly recommend this for anything but what it says Break clean spray off rotors most ridiculous thing I ever seen
Dude that is going to eat up anything that isn’t metal. Say goodbye to any type of gasket or polymer pieces in your gun. I work on an oil rig. Trust me
I use 1 part alcohol to 1 part hydrogen peroxide as recommended by my suppressor instructors for cleaning. It works GREAT! Using it now to clean my gun trigger assembly, reciever and barrel. I follow up woth light oil.
The worst thing for a gun is all the oil most people think they need to put on their gun. Oil is terrible for wood stocks. It also gums up and guns lock up all the time from people oiling so much. Most of the things you hear on the internet about this subject is total bullshit. But this is great advice. video.
I use carb and choke cleaner on my guns. Works great! Brake cleaner may work better. I went with carb cleaner because it was cheaper than brake cleaner in the store I was in.
Terrible advice! While you can use brake cleaner and even gun scrubber on metal parts, the gun has to be disassembled so that all those parts can be oiled afterwards. If you don't oil all these parts well, they will Rust pretty damn fast.
In all seriousness, why would you want to liquidize all the schmootz and let it seep into places you dont want it even worse, like the firing pin channel or the extractor?
Don't be afraid to take your gun apart, be afraid of not putting it back together.
Brake cleaner is not designed for fire arms bro. The harsh chemicals will damage metal surfaces and finishes on firearms. If anyone sees this short and uses brake cleaner on their gun more than likely they will damage the firearm. Please think about it n take this youtube short down. Do not attempt to use brake cleaner on your well machined and expensive fire arm people

100% truth.
Remember when you save $5 on a can of gun cleaner …. your using the cheap stuff on your $1000 race gun. dont get any on you C-more it will turn into pudding.
I use non chlorinated
Ive used Ed's Red followed by non chlorinated brake and parts cleaners from Walmart for years. Lubricate and your done.
Yikes thats not good for polymers. Sick with Lucas spray cleaners.
Maybe tear down the firearm and properly clean it. Don’t be a goofy goober
Not every gun is an AK 😂
Use non chlorine brake cleaner, when regular brake cleaner burns, you breathe it in, your lungs are done!

Can be used for polymer gun?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I use non chlorinated on my pistol. Great and super cheap
Hope you have a 100 percent metal gun bro

I wonder how good the residual film from carb clean would be for protecting metal surfaces in firearms
Field strip your gun! Every gun owner should know how.
Dude that is going to eat up anything that isn’t metal. Say goodbye to any type of gasket or polymer pieces in your gun. I work on an oil rig. Trust me
Thats chloronated dumbass
Don’t forget your safety glasses! Brake cleaner in the eye burns like hell and makes it hard to shoot that day. 😂

Non chlorinated brake cleaner on a suppressor with carbon lock works miracles!😂

I’m considering running break clean in my ultrasonic cleaner lol I work with polishing compounds and this gives me the best results
CRC makes also brake clean in a blue can that’s okay for plastics and it’s way cheaper then any gun scrubber
It will crack plastic parts
The rest of us just field strip our guns 🙂
In all seriousness, why would you want to liquidize all the schmootz and let it seep into places you dont want it even worse, like the firing pin channel or the extractor?

Throttle body cleaner works awesome

Ballistol
I'm pretty sure Lucas oil make a contact cleaner for guns/rifles that won't damage the polymers.
it,s good and dry fast and oil on it…..
