This short is a how to video on attaching a Rearden R2S Flash Hider to a @FaxonFirearmsOfficial 10.5” 5.56 barrel with 1:8 twist. I used Hot Lock ceramic thread locker, similar to Rocksett, to hold the muzzle device in place under extreme conditions like sustained fire.
I bought a Duralast torque wrench at Autozone and it’s been a big help with my barrel work. I would typically use an armorer’s wrench but the Plan B flats are a little bigger than your typical muzzle device. Icon makes wrench attachments that made this job way easier and more accurate to spec.
Using a heat gun allowed me to heat the thread locker to its curing strength. Using Hot Lock allows you to get more torque on your suppressor if it gets stuck to your Plan B muzzle device after shooting. You won’t accidentally remove the muzzle device with the can. My advice: clean the threads on both you flash hiders and the inside of your can before use and it shouldn’t get stuck. Happy silent shooting!
