5.7 could be a great little cartridge if people started using it as a small game round instead of everything being tacticool. Why there isn't at least one cheap ass bolt action or something more traditional like a 10/22 is beyond me.
They have a Speer gold dot in 5.7 , M&P rounds by FN, even more at elite ammo, Secret service uses 5.7 to protect the President of the United States in the P-90
The 2009 Fort Hood shooting where that Major Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 33. As horrible as the was, I always recall hearing about how the gun he used was a 5.7 pistol. Seems pretty capable at killing people
First pistol I shot was 9mm and since then I shot all the basics like .40 .45 and 10mm and my current is 10mm Glock 29 gen 4 and I can shoot the 10 with a pretty flat recoil control
Love to 5.7 however feel the 22tcm is the better round. Wish more woumd pick it up and chamber this in better pistols. Especially since the time is leaps and bounds ahead in reloading.
Ok let’s say you’re 50 yards away. Let’s say the shooter doesn’t shoot all day for their job because they have a YouTube channel
Two 5.7s to the chest or 1 9mm in the leg
One 5.7 on target or no 9mm on target
5.7 is much easier to control as you said. Apples to apples sure 9mm does more damage, but many variables that are unseen where the 5.7 comes out on top
Lastly factory 5:7 is neutered. Get a round going 2400 out your pistol and see how that compares
5.7 is a pdw round NOT a handgun round. Similarly to how 5.56 loses much of its effectiveness out of a <10in barrel 5.7 shines in that 'longer than a pistol barrel, shorter than a rifle barrel' range because that's what it was literally designed for. Bullet surface area is more important for handgun rounds because they can't achieve rifle velocity for serious temporary cavitation damage. So yeah, 5.7mm is better than nothing and it's very light recoiling and you can carry a lot but same with 22lr- the pentrating power is such a dumb argument for civilian carry. "But what if dem muggers wearin sum kevlar n a fryin pan under der sweatshirts???" Goofy ahh

Well made enough, and shoots flat enough, to where proper shot placement negates any lack of “power”.

Pea shooter. I think that Idaho active shooter tanked a few 5.7 rounds no problem.
I think 5.7 would be useful for small game and varmint control
Un armored person nine mil armored person 57 that’s simple

I'm taking 9 because it is more widely available and ammo is overall affordable with a lot of different types of rounds.
10mm
Mr Jones with the events at the Burger shop it might be time to revisit the viability of a suppressed 5.7.

So in terms of pistol ammo, do you think federal hst is the best an if you cant find that then speer gold dot gen 1 is the next best thing?
Use ss198lf or ss190

57 and 9mm is the Winter loadout.
Primary – 57
Secondary – 9mm
Summer – 380’s, 22lr’s 25acp’s random shit that works lol.
Lets all be real lmao whatever goes bang when you need it is best 🤷🏻♂️🇺🇸
That gold dot 5.7 is about the worst performing 5.7 ammo out there. The SS197 with the 40gr Vmax out performs it on soft targets.
5 background musics wtf bro
What 57 ammo?
Try the 22tcm
5.7 is for women who can't shoot 380. Lolz

The 57 rounds that the peasants get are typically= varmint 40gr hornady/nosler/sierra ect. Unless a 100% copper round….= hand loaded .. typically
Dat 9mm hit bt the 5.7 penetrate
Witch Vs Which Vs Wich
Now try distance shooting… NO CONTEST!
I find it hilarious that 5.7 is used for stealth in video games
AR57 with an FRT is frying anything in its path with ZERO recoil. I’ll take that over ANY 556, 762. 9mm or 45 any day of the week for home defense.
Fort hood shooting 13 died 32 injured from 5.7
Thought you had some bs costume on bro😂
