Any plans to swap out the barrel with everything else remaining the same and testing the groups I think that would be a super gnarly follow up short / video.

The rings failing due to excessive gas, this is partially why the new trend of just using all of the buffer weight and spring tension rather than using the proper weight to prevent bolt bounce causes wear a good bit faster. 10k is still decent, but it could easily get 50-75% more life out of them with the proper spring and buffer.

Now KS-1 25K test?

Should have collabed with School of the American rifle. He has all of the measurement tools to get a good look at the AR both before and after the testing.

If you’re trying to keep a barrel in “Precision rifle” territory with 223 you should be replacing 5000 rounds maybe it’s 7000 if you’re lucky but your comments about maintenance are spot on

I wonder if KAK or someone else will see this and offer any sort up upgraded rings. Only real upgrade that could be made

25,000 rounds of 5.56 later, and this rifle has seen more trauma than most VA claims. 😂

When I started shooting suppressed 3 years ago I couldn't believe the carbon and soot blow back and build up so for shooting 25k rounds suppressed well I'm impressed. Not suppressed it would be much better ,In my opinion. Great rifle.

@110sassactual How is the notch inside the upper receiver where the cam pin rotates. I have seen that area gouged and grooved pretty bad with way less rounds.

The gas rings are like piston rings. Over use they lose their seal and you lose “ compression “. Anything you have steel to steel rubbing over a period of time you wear. You should have tried some of that 80k of pressure ammo lol. It might would have went 5000 rounds 😂

Do we believe the barrel is CHF if its wearing out like that? I know KAC has an SR-15 with 80K rounds that is still around 1 MOA

3 sets of gas rings after 25k rounds shot with a can is nothing.

Maybe they should DLC the inside of the barrel. I honestly wonder if that would work.

I'd like to know what Suppressor you used and how often you cleaned it.
I have 3 different Rugged suppressors the Rugged Oculus for my 22 LR, Rugged Alaskan 360 on my FN TAC3 AR, and the Rugged Sub 9 on my HK MP 9mm, I have the HUXWRX 9K Ti I use on my other hand guns. I have well over 5000 rounds thru each of my guns and cans and I use a Ultrasonic cleaner to clean my cans and guns and the come out like new cleanliness.
So what Suppressor did you use and how often did you clean it? Thanks great video!!!
