Its really difficult to find a bad AR these days, i havent found one that hasnt run well after being cleaned and lubed.
There's nothing wrong with a carbine length system. My Ruger is a carbine system and its an absolutely excellent rifle, borderline impeccable id say. And im not biased either. Ive shot a 2k ar build and my Ruger made a tighter group with the same ammo as 50 yards. My gun just needs a dlc bcg and a better recoil spring and buffer and a better trigger. A Rise RA-140 for example just thinking of a good budget friendly trigger that punches above its price point. After that, maybe an LPVO or red dot though id prefer the LPVO.
400 dollar ar's come with midlength
Gas system length has nothing to do with quality
What is staking?
This video is all false
Your doing a Indian voice…as a rule they are Hindu not Muslim
Doesn’t look like a bad gun but for $2K whoever sold that to you is not your friend
Huh. The video I found when I built my Aero didn't say anything about staking the castle nut. So I loctited it.
I am not a gun person and am wondering what would stop a crappy gunsmith from just stamping fake makers marks on parts?
Yeah yeah we get it. You don't want people to buy budget builds or build their self because you want them to come into your shop and spend thousands on something that literally does the same thing. Booo.
Dropping 2k on anygun without knowing its worth 2k is a great way to get took honest the only guns worth 2k used are things like an alien or a name brand 50 bmg.
Fast machine times can be as much a product of good programming as bad maching only 1 results in defects though.
I personally dont believe any used factory ar15 is worth 2k like there are great 5k ars but none of them are anybetter than a new 2k factory ar new ar used both will be better quality then a mp15 or lower quality ar.
Just buy an AK
I have that Anderson manufacturing ar
I have the exact same ar mine is 10.5 300 blkout though heres what i slowly over time upgraded
Handguard – Aero
Lower- LMT Mars
BCG – BCM Tan
Trigger – Larue MBT
Barrel – Daniel Defense
Charging handle- PTI ambi gas buster
Stock – SB Tactical SB4 brace
Muzzle – Maxium Defense Hatebreak
Mags – FN Scar 556
Adjustable gas block – Rifle speed
Light – Cloud Denfensive – REIN 3.0
Was a 300$ gun now its a 2200$ gun lol
I always check the staking on the castle nut. The fasteners on the hand guard doesn’t have anti-rotation. And the most important thing to look for is the. “G” stamp on the barrel or the upper receiver.😂😂
Hey. Can you use more laymans terms? Like wtf is a proof mark? Wtf is steaking on the gas key? Or castle nut? Brother im on youtube im not going to google every other sentance you say. To newer gun owners this is a whole other language man. This is the kind of stuff that turns people away.
Hard pass on staking the castle nut. All aluminum lowers are the same. Buy a decent bcg, trigger, barrel and furniture (if that matters to you) and you're going to be as good as any overpriced $2,500 gun you can buy.
I have 5 ARs with components from different companies. Some are top tier, some mid, and even one older Anderson lower. They all run very well. Just take your time researching, saving for the components that really matter, and assembling according to manufacturer specs. Get some help if you need to. It's a machine. They all need maintenance and have a life expectancy.
Bro, pretty much said if it’s not I got a brand on it. It’s not good. That’s the stupidest thing. I’ve heard all fucking day.
Idk what a carbon gas system is my good sir 😂
I've seen Anderson branded lowers that are built well and shoot reliably.
I think this is a pretty good reason to stay out of the AR15 market altogether as a less than fully informed basic consumer looking for a quality gun. It is the american gun of the masses like the AK47 is the world's gun of the masses, but you can trust a cheap AK47 just a little bit more. I'll keep doing research.
It was funny racist and and accurate well the guy with that accent would be the one selling the AR for 2 grand
So basically look for branding. Is there some way to tell the quality ofbthe parts other than by looking for proof marks or brand names?
Why would a carbine length system be cheaper to produce? And how much could it possible cost to stake the gas key and castle nut?
Hey gun bros, leave my AM15 alone lol. I was a grad student and it was 300 bucks AND I got to build it like an adult Lego set. Sure as hell won't stack up to an expensive one but it groups real well and feels good
Absolutly love Anderson
One thing I’ve noticed picking up radicals and Andersons around the 400-500$ price point is they have sharp edges all over the gun.
If youre judging an AR by the stamping on a lower receiver without inspecting internals and anything else that says it all. Good explanation. With that said, i have a cheap PSA AR that has roughly 3k rounds through it without any issues at all. Buying expensive gear without buying training, just means you're one hell of a loot drop for someome with a $400 AR and a pair of pit vipers. 😂😂
Microbest BCGs are some of the best you can get, yet they don't have their name all over them? Some of your other points are correct, but I would reconsider the BCG comment
Psa upper on Anderson lower for 2k, lol.
None of this makes sense anymore besides bad machine marks. Most all manufacturers make a rifle that will fail after a few rapid fired rounds. Most every rifle has a spring and buffer thats cheap and not suitable for rapid fire. They are doing this on purpose and I agree they should. We dont want blue haired they/thems 💙 hurting others because they feelings hurt. Tuning a new rifle is an added expense and should be counted on.
What is a proof mark tho?
Is this roy Nelson's son?
Dude might work at a gun shop but is wrong about “being cheap”….my 10.5 had a carbine gas system on it and it wasn’t cheap.
The most unrealistic part of this is him actually giving you time to talk about it
All AR 15 charge handles "feel cheap" they just fuckin flop around.
I've had my Anderson AR-15 for a few years, ran more than a thousand rounds thru it by now and it's held up pretty damn good for the price I paid.
Those are $300 for the upper and lower in Ky. That’s a good deal.
Label doesn't matter much. Its the upper or the barrel.
What is “staking”??
Those pistol braces are so uncomfortable
Indications of cheap AR: partial or “scalloped” top pic rail on handguard…😂
What is the opinion of the Diamondback Arms 16" AR-15?
For me, if it shoots and works…. you're half way there.
Time and reliability, can spell the difference between junk and quality.
Andersen is good for the money. Rough, yes. But durable.
Those little touches….like staking, can make the difference between junk and reasonable quality for the money.
Blah blah blah…..all those words and said nothing
