Wait so if a suppressor is integral to the gun, does that count as this? Like that russian gun in 9×39? I cant remember the name of it. Like could the barrel be 8 inches, plus an integrated suppressor thats also 8 inches, then its not an sbr? Or am i misunderstanding

With a suppressor QD mount you are least save that length on the barrel. I don't see it as useful otherwise because you aren't going to be using as long of a muzzle device and aren't saving much weight length anyways.
So there is no advantage to pin and weld. You’re not really getting a shorter barrel. Just loosing velocity
