From the Vault: GAU-5A/A (Colt Model 630) AR-15 Clone using Brownells retro parts

In this “From the Vault” video, I show off my latest SBR build. This is a clone of the Colt 630, otherwise known as the GAU-5 A/A. This was a variant of the Commando that was used by the U.S. Air Force from the Vietnam era until Operation Desert Storm. This rifle was primaryly built from Brownells “Retro” parts I compiled.   2. When I first deployed with the Army as a USAF EOD tech in 2005 we were running with these. We used this weird gooseneck like adapter that threaded into the carry handle and ran EOTechs. We switched over to the M4 around 2006.

  3. Just remember, the Nazis did not seize control totally until they removed the guns from the civilian population and it was not until they removed the guns from the civilian box relation that they began walking people off to camps, just remember that !!!

  4. dude thats a dream rifle makes my dpms a2 carbine look low rent lol i did get my alice gear in im pleased buddy was gonna pitch it i footed the shipping and even had three early m16 issued mags and the pouch in it

  5. Hi Jason, that’s what I carried as an Forward Air Controller with the 82nd Airborne when we jumped into Panama for Operation Just Cause. No scope on mine, it was full auto while the Army had the A2 with 3 round burst. I had to sleep with it so it wouldn’t ‘disappear’! Nice video!
