  1. Holographic sights do seem better nowadays, with newer models boasting 2500 hours for a set of batteries. And prices have dropped quite a bit over a few years back.
Price usually pushes many to red dots; however, I tend to favor holosun circle dot sights, usually the green ones, with a solar cell ( in case the battery is dead or to aid when shooting outside.. ) . Far easier to find that circle dot over the single dot. It may be time to retry some of the newer holographic sights.

  2. The romeo 5 I got was $89 shipped and taxed. The cost effectiveness is higher than any other sight I own.
The glass quality actually makes eotechs price justifiable, the only red dots comparable to my eyes are aimpoint t2 and romeo 8t.
The slx 1x micro prism is worth mentioning, it is a little bit like looking through a scope but the eyebox is only slightly less than a red dot. Glass is great in this optic for the price.
Eotech is worth it if you like how the reticle appears to your eye better than a red dot, same with slx 1x mp, red dots like romeo 5 are still a better value if your eye likes them.

  3. had to scroll down past half a page of "big youtubers" with their puffed up 30 minute videos that explained nothing to get to this guy. finally understand what the deal with these optics is, maybe now i can finally pick something up for my PS90 and put some rounds through it!

  4. Great info my guy! Thanks! Seems like a red dot will be my go to for my AR pistol for home defense, I need that shake awake. I have a vortex venom on there now, looking to get the HOLOSUN HE510C-GR
