  1. I saw and some of your other videos you have the MI handguard in Flat Dark Earth. I was wondering, how does the Flat Dark Earth that Midwest Industries uses match up to Magpul ' s FDE? I'm going with that theme on my new rifle and I was considering the Flat Dark Earth for my MI handguard. It's always hard to tell on pictures or videos until you really see them in person you really don't know. Thanks in advance.

  2. I found this handguard on Midwest Industries but there are two of them. Does anyone know what the difference between the SSM and the lightweight handguards are? They both claim to be very lightweight, but I guess the LW one is like 1 ounce lighter than the SSM one. Is that the only difference? One ounce? Is one smaller than the other? Little confused… Help appreciated!

  3. A bottom sling point is also useful for us who use a sling as a shooting aid. Speaking of that, given its light weight, does this rail feel stiff enough to take some sling tension?

  4. Absolutely love my 9" MI SSM M-LOK on my carbine – one of the best upgrades since I first built it.  Comfort is superior to anything else I've handled, the weight (or lack thereof) is incredible, tons of features as mentioned, and manages to stay cool enough to touch even with lots of rounds down the barrel.  The QD mounts are perfect and I really couldn't fault it if I tried.  I'd say it's one of, if not the best, M-LOK handguards available for the AR-pattern rifle.

  5. I'm really interested in this handguard.  My plan is to cut down the FSP on my LE6920 to fit the 12" model.  I know you have some experience doing this, so here is my question.  Does the FSP cut down small enough to fit inside this super-slim handguard?  Thanks for the vids, man.  And take her easy.  Oh yeah, all of you out there that enjoy your AR-15, contact your government officials about the crap the BATF is trying to do with M855 ammo.  If you oppose it, let your voice be heard!!!

  6. Hey I've heard of a couple people having issues with the rail cracking/breaking where it locks into the barrel nut. Just wondering if you have had any issues. considering getting my hands on one but on the fence.
