A very basic review and shoutout to the Bushmaster Carbon 15 which has proved affordable, reliable, and a all around great weapon. I formally did this under SgtShieldbearer, but changed names due to a page makeover.

  1. same as mine the barrel gets hot fast besides that it's a great rifle I've had mine for several years and fired thousands of rounds through it if there is any problems bushmaster will take good care of it no problem got mine for $599 new and love it

  2. I've put over 1000 rounds on c15 with zero issues. I shot it at 200 yards with great results, I even rapid fired it with no issues. I'll be honest , the only issue I have with it is the pencil barrel that heats up pretty quick.

  4. I don't have the carbon fiber Bushmaster but I love my Xm15 E2S she handles damn nice. I prefer the aluminum mags over the plastic stuff though, I guess im just old school like that..lol

  5. My rifle pretty much looks like your review.. I just got my accessories in flat dark earth… I also have the Magpul flip -ups.. And I love em.. I have had not one issue with this AR.. My only one issue was the top rail death wobble which was fixed with some good ole JB weld.. I have put a Redfeild counterstrike dot scope.. I am looking into a high resolution nighttime inferred scope… But I did rip off the cheesy stock .. This AR has been awesome .. Even if is polymer.. Worth the money spent.

  6. Sorry – no carbon fiber present in this rifle. carbon fiber is 5 times more expensive then aluminum so you would not get a CF rifle for less than $1000. It is a plastic composite. This is mostly a plastic AR. Buyer beware.

  7. The smith n wesson mnp15 sport had the no dust cover and forward assist. Never hurd about the bushmaster tell now, although nobody really uses the forward assist these days except for like in boot camp when they teach it.

  8. This isn't the first gen POS. All these forum posts from people who own $1800 rifles shitting in these guns are just butthurt. This isn't a battle rifle but that not what you bought it for. It does exactly what you want it to do. Besides if there were a battle, there will be plenty rifles lying on the ground.

  9. I bought mine last yearfor around $759 plus tax at rural king. They have them on sale now  for 699 plus a $50 rebate. Mine has shot flawless. I had the top rail wobble others have talked about. I slid it off, scuffed up the back of the rail and the top of the reciever  used some gorilla glue epoxy and 30 min later wobble is gone. I used omega tactical quad rail and flip up sights.  Not too expensive but quality is the best I've seen. I use primary arms micro red dot and 3x magnifier again, not to expensive but top quality. Fab defence grip and buttstock. Surefire m951 from eBay $40 used.

  10. Like the basic review, just want to know how the gun shoots. I know that you shot a 1000 rounds through it and it shot well but I want to know if it can with stand the heat if you have to put a 1000 rounds through it in a hurry?

  11. Im not douching or anything but the Gun is not accurate, the Shooter or operator is, the only things on a firearm that affects accuracy is trigger pull and if the barrel is messed up. Other than that i love your videos and i encourage you to make more.

  12. Buy an AP customs Carbon Fiber tube type fore arm for your Carbon 15. BTW, Bushmaster uppers and lowers are NOT Carbon Fiber. They are POLYMER with a carbon base to the formula. Totally dffernt than carbon fiber..totally! Best red dots for $$ I have found to be by Tru Glo. Very good. Will hold up. Some models have VERY small 2.5MOA dots that are quite well shaped (round). For 3MOA dots there is ONE that is a must buy…Bushnell TRS-25….look no further. The butstock it comes with is SUPER light. I HATED mine just because of appearance. Now, its on my Carbon Competion AR15. It shoulders FASTER than any other butstock! I love my Magpul MOE stocks but the Carbon 15 stock does have it's use. Keep it.
The Carbon 15 is the BEST value in AR15's and the best first AR15 in the world to buy IMO. Pretty good review. Honest and no BS! Well done.

  13. On some Carbon15 flat-tops the rail on the upper receiver is attached via a sliding dovetail joint and one screw. Many "wobble" from side to side making it impossible to hold zero. Search "Carbon15 rail repair" on YouTube and you'll see a few examples. Mine is repaired now and the rifle is great.

  14. So far I've had zero issues with mine. The biggest downfall is that I got the one with the cheap optic but that was half expected. I plan to get iron sights or a better optic. I've put many different brands of 5.56 NATO rounds as well as .223 Rem rounds, both cheap and expensive ones. The only time it had an issue is when my buddy tried to put some old, reloaded ammo through it. For some reason it didn't like those rounds and caused feed issues, but otherwise it's been great and has taken any other rounds. I just got a couple new PMAGs for it too. 🙂

  15. I'm real pleased with mine. It had the wobbly rail problem that many Carbon 15's seem to have, but I repaired it with some JB weld. I put a UAG quad rail on it…cheap at $25 but it works great. Also added some flip-up sights and an NCStar 4×32 scope…both also fairly inexpensive, but they work fine. Shoots great.

  16. So first of nice review and video, and other then the bells and whistles are they upgradable such as barrel swap up uppers basically anything really? I know a lot of ppl say the 1/9 twist barrel heats up and looses the grouping. Thanks and keep up the good vids.

  17. Got my carbon 15 a few months ago and love it…had to get new butsock, quad rail and grip…..only bad thing is that my magpul BAD would not operate correctly on it since the material for the upper is not metal so it would flex a little bit but other than that it is great……..also a little harder to remove mags then an all metal ar

  18. I have a carbon 15 that I bought a while back, had some problems with misfeeds and jams at the beginning. ended up that the problem was that the barrel nut was off center and was causing the bolt to jam on the gas tube. got that fixed, replaced the gas tube and I've fired about 300 rounds through it since then with no problems. I added a quadrail and an aluminum vertical grip to add some weight to help with recoil and it is still lighter than a normal ar
