  1. Ok, if you can take an AR chambered in .223 Rem, JUST change the barrel and leave everything else the same (buffer spring, bolt, etc) and shoot a 22 nosler with 25% more powder, why can't you just load a 223 Rem over specs to increase performance?
Is the 223 Rem case the weak link?
Now that I know the AR parts can safely handle 25% more powder, I'm going to have to research loading 223 Rem a little hotter.

  2. The increased velocity makes a SIGNIFICANT difference — it becomes a very different rifle. Problem is mags and barrel life from overbore issues. If you have a real need for it, it would be OK. I prefer the entire system build around a better cartridge. The ideal, IMO, is David Tubb's 6XC. 6mm 100 gr bullet at 3000 FPS.I'd like to see an AR type rifle built to use it (size would be between ar10 and ar15)

  3. This is off topic but when are you going to review a Delton? Looks like you would since there headquarters are 30 mintues away. Deltons are sold at every gun store in the state of NC. Is it because you don’t get payed money or what.

  4. For me .22 Nosler, .224 Valkyrie, 6.5 Grendel, and 6.8 SPC just don't appear to be worth the cost of investing into a new rifle and cartridge.

Why not just go AR-10 in .308 or 6.5 CM? Speaking of the latter two, S&W has an AR10 in both offerings.

  5. 1st off great review sir. i work crazy hours so im way late on here but I still wanted so me support. I still say why compare cartridges against each other. … just buy both lol. "So what if I only have one 22 nosler rifle. I have a sweet little 22 nosler to play with none the less lol" obviously if money is an issue u really shouldn't shouldn't be looking toooo deeply into odd ball calibers as it is. but what I love about guns like this is it would a great add to collection, even if u have a 556 as well. Don't compare too hard. U may miss out on a good gun to have and more is better!!!!

  6. Great looking rifle! As far as this caliber, I commend the manufacturers for trying different things, but my long term guess is this caliber won't get much traction except with a niche few. Thanks for the review; didn't know much about this caliber being it's still new.

  7. If you want to do long range and use heavy bullets (80gr+) go 224 Valkyrie if you want to do lightweight varminting bullets you'll get more velocity from 22 Nosler then he will from the Valkyrie. 3300fps from 224 Valkyrie. 3500fps from 22 Nosler
