SOCOM Asked UNITY Tactical to Build This Scope Mount

James Reeves is at Austria Arms Action Days 2026 with Hallie from UNITY Tactical for a look at the new FAST KICKR, a lightweight magnified-optic mount developed specifically for the EOTech Vudu 3-9×32 SFP at the request of USSOCOM. The FAST KICKR places the optical centerline at 1.54 inches over the rail, weighs less than 2.4 ounces, and also supports the newer EOTech Vudu 4-12×36 FFP, Trijicon ACOG and VCOG optics, and Primary Arms MicroPrism optics. Hallie also walks James through the optional MRDS Ring, which adds a 12 o’clock mounting platform for a mini red dot on the Vudu 3-9 setup. James contributes his usual deep technical insight by admitting that he still uses CompM3s from 2004.

  1. Good concept but the eye releif on both the 3×9 and 4×12 is way shitty. Not to mention it would still be a pain in the ass to shoot with nods, vs having a flip to side magnifier with a dot….

  2. The concept of the vudu is really interesting, but its just too expensive for the average shooter.

Give me a compact 3-9x with a monolithic mount thats part of the scope body itself, and an integrated RMR plate on top. Make it $100K or less and its kinda the perfect do-all optic stack.

  3. If you can quick mount it without tools, I actually love it. If the tolerances are tight, it should be good at holding zero. Personally wouldn't use it that often, but I can see how useful it would be for transporting.

  4. Well people, the reason these companies keep ramming you in the ass when it comes to pricing is because you keep on letting em… and they do it raw yet yall are stupid enough to not stop.
