This literally just happened while my neighbor was home alone, and cracked an intruder center mass with a little Taurus 9mm. Ye little 9 was a might loud apparently because after she had to have everyone speak to her from her good ear. Lucky for her , her hearing came back after a little bit but yup

I’m sure my family would be very grateful that i stoped an armed home intruder OR WORSE . The ringing ends in a few minutes and some simple instructions would stop my wife from shooting me . Soapopera dramatics around here 😂

Most days, I have to kill at least 3 or 4 baddies who break in. If I didn't use a suppressor, and also go to bed wearing ear protection, I'd be deaf by now for sure. This is such a common occurrence that only a fool would fail to have their home defense gun outfitted with a suppressor, and also use subsonic rounds and sleep with hearing protection. The paint cans rigged to hit them in the face as they open the door don't always work.

Establish safety words for when you re-enter the room, it's that easy. Regardless of if the threat is over or not just say something like "*established pet name*, I'm comming back to the bed room, are you ready" but shorter and snapper if possible, then she can reply with "Ready, gun down", and then you enter.

If youre relying on just a suppressor to help the situation then you obviously haven't shot inside a house with a Suppressed SBR yourself lol
