  1. Have you ever come across a Bipod that looks like the Mg42? If anything id probably have to buy a repro or original and adapt it to a Ar15 beatshield if at all possible. But your input would be most gracious please and thank you.

  2. You missed literally the best bipods ever created for a rifle. Protean Innovations. Should check them out. Only like $350-$500. Does WAY more than any other bipod, faster, stronger, and easier.

  3. Piet how usable would you say the double pull is while sitting? Have a lot of opportunities to take sitting/kneeling shots where I hunt but rarely prone so was looking into double pull instead of lugging a tripod in the mountains! Great video, love from Montana!

  4. Spartan Javelin pro Hunt – best bipod i own for hunting. Magnetic connection means increased operational deployment. Carry it in my bino pack when not needed. Really solid piece of kit it you don't like permanent attachments.

  5. @impactshooting Can you disclose which firms paid you, or you received free merchandise from? Otherwise this is a waste of time for all of us. Did you purchase all of these independently and have NO 'ambassador' contract with any of the firms featured?

  6. Have a Ckye pod and a Grnd pod. Have to say the Grnd pod is absolute overpriced crap. Costs $240 cdn, worth about $100. Arca won't stay tight and it is way too narrow of a stance. Ckye pod hit the mark. Pricey, but actually decent quality.

  7. The GRND-POD is pretty good value for the money. You get a bunch of features of the more expensive bi-pods for a cheaper price. For something cheaper, I think the Harris is the way to go. I haven't heard anything good about the Oryx or the MagPul. If I needed something taller than the grnd-pod I think I would just get a tri-pod.

  8. Cool, thankyou for this video. I would still like to see more innovation in bipods and rear bags. I wonder if anyone is making self leveling bipod and rear bag that can independently adjust elevation while keeping self leveling when used with proper indexing to level stock designs.

  9. Thanks for the breakdown Piet! Just a heads up, the Gunwerks bipod has a screw to adjust the twist-lock clamp tension. This may fix your locking pin issue. There may also be some dust in there causing it to stick.

  10. And Not one Low C of G Bipod , like say the Old Trigger50 tube type , or a Fortuner type , or a Old Sako TRG type , witth all the chassis & tube style fore ends , it would make sense to use a Elite Iron ( Trigger50 type ) where the pivot point is above the bore line , and not below it as in std bipods like Harris or Parker Hale .
It dosnt look as nice , & is more difficult to design , but is a more stable solution , where the rifle hangs down .

  11. Run the MDT Ckye-Pod Gen 2 for PRS set up. When it first came out, I thought the price was insane but once you actually get and use it, you understand.

I saw Warne has a new precision bipod called the Skyline with 2 types of legs. It’s around $400 USD but looks really nice if you don’t need the double pull I may get for my 3-gun rifle.
