You're right about the material, but doesn't The twist rate matter as well and barrel length?
Accuracy and longevity
All I want to see is bore scoping, verification of Headspace dimensions, and accuracy comparison in a precision setting. 200 yards would be nice.
Mag dump with a FRT then a 3 shot group at 200yrds.
Also photos from a bore cam before and after your tests.
Cold bore zero test, then warm bore groupings
Is it true that you have to tighten and untighten the barrel nut 3 times and have a specific torque for it
Always been curious about barrel price vs quality. This will be a great series for that information
Accuracy for 8 magazines, short range 100 yards for speed, mid range 200 yards, the longer range 400 yards. Then the fails test, melt those barrels and tell is which brands.
Shoot some steel case ammo out of one
I would like to see them shot from a led sled at 100 yards. If you can use a 10X or better scope it would be a big help. Please use 55gr, 62 and 77gr ammo. On a rifle accuracy is everything.
issssssshhhhhhhhh
30ish??? Where???
If you are going to do a video on barrels. We need to know what brand
Great idea for video series
I wanna see a real world test like a Bill drill and maybe a 200yd or less accuracy test brand new first shots and then after a few mags or approximately 150 rounds ea
Fun project
With all the FRT's and super safeties floating around now I'd like to see a few mags rapid fired and the barrel and gas block tested for heat in several areas. Cheers AT3!!!!
Grouping cold at slow rate of fire vs grouping hot with faster rate of fire at a distance of at least 100 yards
And all of which are gonna be more accurate than any of us will ever be
As long as it’s from PSA it doesn’t matter what it’s made of.
Barrel life and accuracy
While any of these tests are great for someone shooting full auto which narrows it down to a gun shop owner, his friends and family real world shooters doing semi auto will not benefit from any of these torture tests. Comes down to the individuals budget. To narrow it down even more, the average person may only put a couple hundred rounds thru the barrel once a month give or take but hey it's cool to watch for a fun factor regardless. Have at it !
