I've seen that same recently and wondered. Now, I think you saved me a 10/22 purchase. I already have a Marlin Model 60 tube fed, but mag fed is more tactical, as you mentioned.

Shot one of these back in the day quite a bit. They work pretty good and definitely make things a bit cheaper to shoot. Just shoot a few rounds of 5.56 out of it after your finished. 22lr is super dirty on the AR gas system.

I've always seen these used as a trainer of a fun rifle device. They all seem to perform well in that roll. I do wonder what type of accuracy is available with one. Can someone drop this in their AR and instantly have a rifle capable of head shooting squirrels reliably at 50-45 yards? How about a test of different ammo off a bench with a good scope at 50 yards in the future
I had accuracy problems with this kit and my AR, I do have a 223 Wylde H-Bar barrel idk of that is the reason but I couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with 22lr. It’s super accurate with 556/223 Rem

I had to polish the heck out of mine because the spent shell casings got stuck all the time. But after that it runs perfectly now.

I had one of these years ago. They’re pretty good, just run some 5.56 through the barrel after you’re done with 22 so you can clean out the gas system

I’ve heard that 22LR rounds are a little inaccurate out of an AR barrel, but I don’t know if that’s true. Either way, who cares. It looks like that CMMG kit is reliable enough to have loads of fun.
