I just wanted to make this video and share some knowledge and information with anyone who may not know about these differences. All of these receivers are semi-automatic only and are legal. The choices of how these are cut and made are decided by the manufacturer.

1990's to 2009 Colts have a sear block installed with blind pins. These also take large pin triggers.
Could i put a rare breed frt-15 trigger in the third setup?
I'm a little late to the parity on this VOD, 2 years old and all, BUT I did indeed learn something new. hey look at that an old dog can learn new tricks.
Isnt’t it a problem that the shelf above the safety selector is milled away on the PRI?
Just drop in a Swift link and it’s rock and roll time. It won’t work on a Colt tho.
PRI, there's a name i haven't heard in a long time…
Good vid 👍
Of these three is any one of them identical to or nearly same as what is sold today as " mil spec"?
This is super important information. Extremely relevant. I'm adding to one of my playlists for sure. This information is imperative for safety, legality, and can save people a lot of money. Good job. To the point and easy to see and understand. Thanks for info bro.
Colt used to be even worse. Early 2000s and earlier Colt receivers had oversized trigger and hammer pin holes so you couldn't even add an aftermarket trigger. To this day, Geissele offers "large pin" versions of all their triggers for people still rocking old Colt models.
Just ordered An 80% lower
ive never owned an A.R. not really sure how im gonna build it out .22 lr was an option im thinking i wanna with an actual centerfire round but then again the fiance and i do enjoy shooting those pesky tin cans on our property
Just learned that my budget tier AR is actually M16 cut. Hell yeah!
Never knew there was any sort of difference besides a drilled auto hole. I'm happy I watched 👌
The lower receiver is so thin. Make it thicker
That third cut (Colt) is also how polymer lowers should be for more strength.
just found out my colt has a stupid wall behind the trigger
PRI is an awesome company. Highly recommend there products
My PSA lower looks different from all of those
You are a hero sir thank you !!!
I have a M4E1 and my fostech binary trigger is a nightmare to close. I wonder what cut I have
Wow you learn something new everyday, I have no idea how I didn’t know any of this, thank you 😂
Thanks for sharing your knowledge i did learn something!
I just learned something new. The other 2 Colt and Bushmaster receivers could actually be slightly stronger due to presence of more metal. The M-16 cut receiver would definitely have the cool factor.
It looks like the super safty may not fit in the colt.
Great video, I appreciate the awareness.
Is the reference number for the PRI Lower Receiver “07-PRI-L01”?
Great content, Great information thank you!
Thanks for vid . Very informative . I own and have built ar's since the early 90's . Never really paid attention to the difference . Figured they were all cut like the bush masters , as most are cut like that .👍
I prefer the first receiver as it allows me to be super safe. 😉
When I’m helping customers bore sight their AR’s at work I always glance at the lower receiver cut and now have a pretty good idea of which companies are truly pro-2a. SOLGW and PRI are legit. Good video my friend
Great video
All should be M16 cut with the shelf otherwise it is an infringement!
It's a felony to do that you need class 3 license
Do lower receivers have a round count life similar to the upper receiver/barrel
Very nice video and I learned what info I needed to know from this . Thanks for making this video .
What is your opinion on the precision reflex lower?
3:57 that would be me 😅
