This video series is meant to be a starting point for people who wants to get into AR-9 platform but are unsure where to start.   7. I just convert my AR15 using the Stern Defense glock converter and purchasing the upper from Andro Corp. Wanted something that I can convert back into a 5.56 if needed.

  13. The Glock magazine is probably the worst magazine choice for an AR9. They inherently have feeding problems in an AR9, they have an awkward insert angle that no other platforms imitate, and they SUCK to load up to 32 round mags. You should have picked a double stack double feed magazine that was designed to be an SMG mag. The obvious choice is the Colt mag, but you can also find Scorpion, MP5, and MPX magazine lowers that are probably the three best magazines ever invented for any 9mm platform.

  15. I have tried several buffers. Tried the heavy buffer with a 5.56 carbine spring. Next was same spring with a hydraulic buffer. Better. Added weights to the hydraulic buffer system. A little better. Btw I use 160 gr 9mm bullets. Best by far is the Maxim roller delay. Shoots as soft as my friend's CMMG

  20. Good video. Great info. Id still take my HK SP5 any day of the week, even with the expensive mags, and no last round bolt open. Its been doing it for decades, and still does it. Add a pic rail on top, and put a MLOK handguard on, and you are set. Ill keep my AR builds to .300 BO and 5.56. Just my opinion

  22. Let’s say I’m getting a 9mm pistol (such as a Glock 19 or Springfield XD9 for example). Which of the ONE out of the following would be good with it?

    * Springfield XD45 Tactical (With a CAA MCK)?

    * A 9mm Glock (such as a Glock 17 or 34) that is in a CAA MCK using a 16 inch barrel?

    * An PCC (such as an AR9) chambered in 9mm?

    * A PCC in .45 ACP?

  26. I am thinking building a 9mm but I don't know what size of barrel I want it to be…… short? long? …..I am going with a Mean Arms 9mm conversion kit for Pmags for the platform.

  30. If your building or buying an Aero EP-9 I would be aware of 2 issues.
    1. The BCG has issues with certain ammo not feeding, especially Defensive ammo. Best bet is to buy another company’s BCG for the build.
    2. The LRBHO is junk, it’s got a bent wire that doesn’t hold its shape enough to consistently do the job. I have bent it back, even contacted them and got a replacement and it still has issues…I pretty much gave up on making it work and I have 2 uppers.
    Their lower is great functionally and aesthetically💯🦾.

    Angstadt Arms is pricy but a great option for builds for direct blowback and they have the MDP-9 radial delay version – I love it and it suppresses very well.

    I think everyone should have an AR9, better than handgun for home defense, cheap to shoot and soft for new shooters.

  31. CMMG 9 AR CANNOT BE BEAT. Buy the upper and 9 AR magazines and youve got a radial delayed blowback sweet shooter. I tried 3 different blowbacks and all sucked. CMMG radial delayed system is second to none. Uses a regular ar lower and even runs with a carbine buffer.

  35. Great video and breakdown, C.J. love my AR9 builds. They also work great as a next step up for a 22lr for youth shooters, and the light recoil help them work on the typical shooting fundamentals.
