This is second focal plane, and EOTECH eventual push to make a first focal plane version is absolutely great news. So my advice to those of you who see the second focal plane I think I could still use that wait until the first focal plan comes out, you’ll be getting big discounts because essentially the new first vocal plane hotness is going to cannibalize their sales.
FFP for me.
as soon as dude said the rifle on an SFP wont be zeroed i closed out. This guy is liek a stolen valor poser or something? no chance he has any credible knowledge if he got that wrong. The center point of aim on an SFP is point of aim point of impact through the entire magnification range, PERIOD. end of discussion, this poser is totally incorrect on what he said. I think the concept he doesnt understand and need to maybe take a class on is that the reticle measurements are not to scale unless its on max mag.
So if I get good enough I can take my 13.7 out to 800.. sick.
Closest I know of to this is the uso 3-12 and maybe a march shorty.
I honestly believe this in FFP with a reddot is a perfect fit for a 14.5-16in gpr.
What do you think about doing a smaller platform bag style load out? I've done so much research on possible scenarios and tactics of the enemy and what calibers would be effective in a smaller platform that can defeat possible armor or cover.

I’ve struggled to buy this line of Eotech products for the name Vudu. It feels weird being a Christian and having life saving gear say witchcraft.
Some people zoom to 5 or 6x. Then they zero, and leave it.
Sfp is awesome for lower magnification optics. They’re a lot easier for me to pick up at speed; like the razor, for example. Anything that over a threshold for magnification (subjective—I like up to 6x) should likely be ffp because of the magnification level

I was all set on buying the EXPS3 with 5X magnifier but now I’m considering this. Especially since I’m an older guy and my vision isn’t as great as it was. This looks like it would help me punch it out there easier
Thank you for the story of Dion’s brother. I just lost a cousin who was special needs to suicide, so hard to deal with the loss. I have to speak at his memorial service this weekend and your Bible verse has given me so ideas to work from. Hopefully I can speak without falling apart.
As for the scope, would be interesting comparing it to a 1-10x lpvo

Scope needs a BDR and count me in
It needs to be at least 3x bigger
The only thing bad about a 50-yard zero is u need to take it out to 200 at least and make sure u are still on center and not left or right. 50 yards isn't enough to notice a little off on the windage.

Form factor and weight is awesome, I get why it's SFP, but I do not like that reticle. The red dot is your fast / crude aiming system, but the reticle implies that the scope is too. I think they could have put a finer reticle in the scope without sacrificing much.
For an optic like this, SFP wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me. If they offered it with a MIL reticle with a very basic MIL grid for drops and wind holds I would definitely consider it. It would be nice if they had different footprint options for the top dot as well, I wouldn’t want to be restricted to just the DPP / EFLX mount. Cool concept though.
I would have rather seen it be a 4-8 FFP because then it would be like an acog that can double its magnification
I can deal with SFP for a 9x top end. But having only an MOA option is a no-go.
SFP is fine just learn how to use it like everything else. I love the idea of this optic and I think its almost exsctly what Im looking for. I just wish someone besides Trijicon would give us LOTS OF FOV. I LOVE my 4X ACOG but I also really like the idea of getting that 9X for longer shots.

Touché Eotech. Put out the 2nd focal optic and let it sit on the market for a couple years. I’ll be expecting to see a FFP version announced for the 2027 shot show to double down on the market.
