Colt M5, updated AR-15

This might sound stupid but for 2k its comes with the old ass A2 grip. Really Colt? They did good on the stock and sights, handguard, charging handle, but really an A2 grip? Normaly I’d complain about the A2 birdcage but when it comes to flash suppression the A2 is pretty damn solid. The extended receiver and proprietary barrel nut are interesting. Other wise good looking rifle.

The close up @3:10 looks like the upper and lower are not matching in color. People asking about the weight. To save weight they could have left a large portion of the pic rail empty. Magpul mag, and buttstock. I am not a fan of the A2 grip. No forward grip? I like the simple way the hand guard locks in. I bought a 6920LE MOE edition in 2014. All furniture was MOE including the forward grip. However the buttstock on this one is better. Mine doesn't have the locking lever. (Little bit of wobble to it.) These sights are better than the rear MOE polymer sight. Is it CHF-CL barrel? How is the gas block attached? What profile is the barrel? Shame they didn't do a midlength gas system. I was wondering how it compared to the 6920 – i paid about 800 bucks for mine n I'm happy with it – great review but i don't want anything from Troy – those sights would go straight to the garbage … actually I wouldn't even take em home with the gun

You may have mentioned it, but how much does it weigh? Reason I ask, is I noticed a lot of the shooters, not you or Chad, would immediately drop the rifle after shooting which makes me think that it’s a little heavy.

Hope all is well my brother…off topic how or..can I tighten magwell on my 10mil specialist like yours?..it and ambi safety little sloppy from factory….just came in from confirming zero on a few 5.56 loads I had worked up…55gr blitzkings…hp blems…ol 62gr green tip surprised me…16” doublestar upper…are they still made Winchester Ky..? Not far from me…

Hi Hunter. Thanks for another review. A carbine length AR that shoots 2moa for 2 grand? Not sure I will run down to the store for that. Sad to see our dollar so worthless these days. Hope you and yours have a great 24!
