You didn't lock the CTR, btw… also, an upper is an upper, a lower is a lower, they are all mil-spec'd. Barrel choice is endless, but most blanks are made in 4 places in the US. BCG's are more important than anything, Toolcraft is a mass producer and also caters to the military via contracts…

You will when you get one that doesn’t run or when head-spacing becomes a problem after higher round counts. You’re smarter than that my man. I’m a fan of you and the vids. And we all hear “the heart and soul of your rifle is the barrel and BCG” a trillion times. However that’s only 50% of it. The GAS SYSTEM (block, tube, and journal) AND BUFFER SYSTEM are also “God” on any AR. You can have the most baller Proof barrel and X brand’s $400 BCG, but if your gas system is muffed up and your buffer weight and spring are too light or heavy, that gucci barrel and BCG are irrelevant. In the past year I’ve started migrating ALL my rifles over to an A2/A5 length buffer tube/weight/spring (on 11.5’s, 12.5’s, 13.7’s, 14.5’s, and 16’s… I personally don’t run anything shorter than 11.5”) BC they’re exponentially superior to carbine length (IMO). Lastly, on builds I’ve started exclusively using Superlative Arms’ adjustable bleed off gas blocks to ensure the rifles are gassed appropriately. That way I can dial in the gas and buffer system to what the barrel and BCG need to run optimally. Don’t sleep on the buffer and gas systems, fam. Stay safe and keep the vids coming! 👊🏼😉🗽🇺🇸⚔️ – Pete

What about back up iron sites even if their offset/angled in case of optic failure? Do you think you could fit them around your current optic on the stag?

Looks like a Stag Arms rifle by Aero Precision. Don't own a Stag, but can't go wrong with Aero Precision and Ballistic Advantage.

Ballistic advantage is a mid-grade barrel. Proof Research would be considered the entry to top tier. Also, If someone is not experienced – just recommend a BCM, SOLG, or Daniel Defense. If you’re building a duty rifle – better know your shit.

A hi quality bcg and barrel is what makes your rifle accurate and consistent and a hi quality trigger will also help

There is always the option of getting a 14.5 with a pinned muzzle device to cut as much off the overall length as possible without requiring the tax stamp.

Ask any half decent armorer. The bcg and barrel are the 2 most important parts in your gun. Will a $60 psa bcg work? Yes but will it last? Not like a good quality bcg like sionics

My cheapest rifle was about 1500 but I have several set ups in 5.56 and a couple in 308 , I believe in choices lol

I bought 2 Stag nickel boron BCG when Covid started. Put on in and it would not run right! I called stag and told them what happened and they wanted me to open my other new bolt carrier group and see if that one worked? Just kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

well a few tips. granted i am a NO one.. drop the grand thumb style video you are Not him. 2nd you said the psa is Not accurate at 2-3 moa but the stag is great at 2-3 moa? what one is it? and the ar15 mine runs Sub .5 Moa all day. they will group fine( granted its a 600.00 barrel but that aside it ar15 will group fine. also Stag bolts are toolcraft
