  1. Love my 2 XPS 2-0's that I got brand new, one for under $400 and the other as a combo with G33 for $689. Saw the 512 in 2020 at random sites for $235 and $245 so I ended up with 3…and zero regrets.

  2. I have had mine for about a year or so now. Shot thousands of rounds with it. Including my FRT AR which is more ehh, rigorous than a semi auto. Only had to replace the batteries one time, and it wasn't a 'Oh shit my EOTech is dead!' moment, it was a 'My EOTech has been blinking on startup for two weeks now, should probably slap some AA in there that are fresh.' Out of the Box on an AR it was hitting dead-on, no zero required. In bright desert daylight, it can be dialed in to shine as bright as the sun and that isn't really an exaggeration. Funnily enough, I threw it on my AK side rail, and it also… somehow… was dead on… Like at 300 I was on target with it on an AK side rail and an AR flattop receiver. Don't ask me how, IG bullets are shoot pretty straight. For the price, if you can be responsible and turn the thing on when it's time to go, as well as swap batteries like… once or twice a year if you larp as much as I do, there is nothing better for the price IMO (If you buy a current model). If you are a patrol officer who carries a service rifle in a car, that could be a different issue, and you may want a optic that is pick up and go like a Aimpoint, but for your every day joe-shmoe who isn't going to spending thousands on night vision, you'd be missing out not to buy this. If you buy an EXPS series and don't run night vision or a magnifier… IDK why you bought that for like 40% more.

  3. These are not cheap especially if you have a few value rifles to outfit. I’ll stick with what I can afford which is a red dot which appears okay for a civilian like myself.

  4. When they are new they are a great option; however, because of the in line battery alignment after lots of use the springs crush and the optic will fail at the worst time possible. Experienced this exact problem on a 10.5 colt m4 while in Iraq.

  5. I love EoTechs! My first one was 512 back in '09. I was issued a M68 and I didn't like it at all, nothing wrong with them(calm down Aimpoint fanboys lol) they just aren't my thing. Anyway, I never had an issue with mine. I spent my deployment to Afghanistan with zero issues. Cold to hot to cold again it was always zeroed dead on. definitely would recommend

  6. I've been running 512s since i can remember. I don't remember what eotech I was running when I was in the military but if the military is running it, it's combat prove . My first one, I've had to replace batteries only three times so far. And that's many many years. Best holographic in my opinion. Super simple too

  7. Always said i wouldn’t pay more then 2-300 for a optic or scope. Then i picked up a xps3-0 and asked myself why i didn’t but one before. 100% worth the money, if 6x magnifiers weren’t over priced id put one on all my rifles

  8. I run one on my patrol rifle. No issues other than less battery life. That’s said, I haven’t changed my batteries in a year and I work 40-56 hours per week. It’s on every shift. Lithium batteries greatly extend the usable life. Will be buying a 518 for my new rifle later this year.

  9. I have two. The last one I bought for 150.00 bucks used, but in excellent condition. I like the fact that they use AA batteries. Almost every remote control in America has batteries for my 512.
    Great video!

  10. I'm colorblind and light sensitive an Eotechs are the only illuminated optics that get bright enough for my eyes in bright sunlight. That includes the Holosun gold dots. Although the gold is almost there but not quite. Love my Eotechs.

  11. Had an opportunity to get this very lightly used for 280 and I passed like an absolute idiot…. To my defense I had just purchased a primary arms 1-8x ffp and a the new holosun with primary arms chevron closed emitter for my Walther pdp 4.5". I knew I was passing an awesome deal but the pocketbook couldn't take anymore hits.
