Built my 3rd custom AR-15.
Had to pick a different caliber, so I picked 5.45×39.
Shoots sweet, put a VLTOR stock and buffer assembly, and a DD lower parts kit with the CMMG stripped lower.

  1. I have the same clubfoot stock it's prety good but one thing I found when I'm doing drills or clearing houses that if bump the back of the storage compartments they will come loose! That's a bummer I wish they would have made it with more screws towards the end of the tubes!

  2. @MaseratiChris556 You are 100% right on the proper enunciation of the name Vltor , but the firearms accessory Co.VLTOR's name actually is pronounced "Vill-Tor" .

It's damn odd but legally that's what the Co. is registered as ..a bit like the thousand and one times that "Heckler & koch" is mispronounced , go figure.

  3. @downriverfirepower No no that was my way of trying to tell you how its pronounced it's Ul-tor like that. And excuse me Vltor was the Roman god of war, and a agricultural guardian. The most prominent of military gods ect. ect. And he also I guessed influenced Greek culture. Apparently when writing in stone back in 43 B.C. it was too hard to form a U so they just spelled it with a V.

  4. @quimbyt I 100% agree with the pistol caliber steel, and aluminum cased stuff, A buddy of mine gummed up a CW45 so that it had to hammered open after firing Tulammo through it. I have also witnessed a Glock blown up with Herter's ammo. I only fire steel cased ammo through guns that were designed to digest it.

  5. @quimbyt I've shot a ton of steel and I've never had a problem. True, the ammo is cheaper and non-reloadable, but people and governments have used it for a long time. AK's and so chambered rifles for the most part are designed around steel and laquer cased ammo. It doesn't bother me to shoot it, but thats whats great about the gun market, if you don't like it there is 100 other options out there. Thanks for watching.
