Full review of the PSA .224 Valkyrie complete upper receiver with 20” 1 in 7” 416R barrel, MLOK handguard, and 224 Valkyrie BCG. I do some shooting with the upper from 300 to 620 yards and test the accuracy with 3 different Federal 224 loads.

  1. I just purchased an upper from PSA similar to the one in your video except it's a 1:6.5 twist. Any idea (guess) on the accuracy using a 60 grain cartridge? Should I stick to the heavier 75 and 90 grain bullets?

  2. Gonna get one if they ever get it back in stock. gonna be a nice varmint round i hunt some ground that can easy 800 plus yds. cant wait looking forward to the challenge. and yes i still love my 223/556. been wanting to do some long range shooting.

  3. I was noticing that while u were shooting some brass was  ejecting rearward some forward even with the suppressor on the rifle. Is that because of the different rounds or the adjustment on the gas block.

  4. I believe and the 224 Valkyrie will be around for a while I pray I really do think it's really outstanding and caliber the performance that you get out of it is really awesome actually working on a 224 Valkyrie build right now can't wait until it's all done

  5. I like the performance a ton, I just want it to pack more punch. Enough to bag a big deer at the least. I mean, it can, but I hear that it's energy is less than the 6.5 Grendel (not Creedmoor). I guess I want to make a hybrid of the 6.5 Grendel and the .224 Valkyrie.

  6. Pointless caliber the 75's are only 150fps faster than 556 which translates to almost no gain downrange and the 90gr SMK is 2x the price of good quality 6.5CM ammo.

  7. The fact that an AR can shoot with a bullet with a fantastic ballistic coefficient like that is hard to pass up. That% bullet seems to make a 600-yard shot with a decent Marksman routine. And that thousand yards shot an exciting prospect. I honestly feel that shooting out of a factory Barrelled gas gun, a 5-inch group at 600 yards is impressive.

  8. I am not impressed with the groups either. There is a reason JP is having problems attaining accuracy up to their standard. Groups need to tighten to entertain weighing a new caliber. What about 6mm Creedmore? Different category, but I would love to see a vid on it from you!

  9. Mine is a POS and have to send it back, because it takes two hands to extract a round and won't send the bolt home all the way.
Mine shot great the first time after that SMFH I'll be sending it back.

  10. I will stick with the .233/5.56 until the military picks up the .224 for future production cost reductions and increased availabilities. Right now, I harvest plenty of coyote, bobcats, raccoons, and opossums with the .233/5.56. I won't shoot at a varment that far (300 yards+) away; more especially, the coyotes and bobcats. I'd like a good clean kill. If, I can't call the critter in to at least 200 to 250 yards then, I just wait for it to come closer or, I pass on the harvesting. I'll pass on the .224 or wait until it has been around for a few years. Oh, and as far as the .300 blk is concerned, it isn't doing all that good in WA state. Several of my friends, myself, and other hunters we know are going back to the good old reliables e.g. 30/30 and 7.62×39 for pigs (in Texas), and deer (in WA). Cheaper and more available and tried and proven. I wish Brunhilda (.224) good luck though.

  11. i think you got special treatment on that gas block. my pa10 in .308 is over gassed to bejesus causing stove pipes i asked for an ajustable and they said to send the rifle back and i didnt want to. I think with psa it depends who you get on the line and who you are on what type of help you get
