  1. Ruger MPR fan here. On my 3rd .. don't ask, just know getting rid of the first two was a stupid thing that I regret. The first would put 5 60 grain VMAXes into 0.4 inches at 100 yards repeatedly. Average accuracy for other bullets wasn't that good, but that is GOOD regardless of platform. Current doesn't have any loads that shoot that well but its overall average is better than the first. Middle gun was "ho hum", not bad, just didn't wow me. And these are my only guns with 2 stage triggers. I planned to upgrade but after a bit of range time I think I like them better than single stage at least on this particular platform. The only mechanical issues I've had (failure to fire) turned out to be Nosler factory ammo, not the gun .. also wouldn't fire in a well-proven Rem 700 bolt action. I'm truly not a "black rifle" fan, more into old cowboy vintage stuff, but damn, this is a fun and useful rifle. Every shooter should have a GOOD AR.

  2. Having no experience with AR platform, a friend convinced me to go with Bear Creek. The first upper, a .300 Blackout, worked fine. Shoots okay. No problems.

The second upper would not cycle. Turns out the barrel wasn’t drilled for gas. Wouldn’t hit where I aimed.

The third upper was a .22lr. It refused to feed until I polished the ramp. Then it worked most of the time. Accuracy poor compared to a 10/22.

    Gave up.

  3. Woah woah. I’ve go through a couple cases a month of 556 or 223. My handguns like my shadow systems had over 10k rounds through the MR920 combat optic. They overhauled the barrel, trigger (the trigger safety spring went out from being pulled so many times) and a new guide rod and spring.

I try not to put that many rounds through my nitride 416rss barrels but some of us aren’t new to this. We own our own gun This angels and but ammo by the cases at a time.

  4. My geissele super duty mod 1 the 16” is as a bday gift from retailer/manufacturer and my 12.5 I paid for. $1600 for a geissele to me, is worth it.

If someone paid $1200 for a 4140CMV barrel rifle… that sells in 4150CMV for $396. I’ll have to say, he is dumb.

  5. Knights, LMT,DD, are great but what about HK my #1 or LWRC my #3. And Ruger is the new Anderson. The new Ruger Harriet rifle is an Anderson with Ruger stamped on it. Ruger definitely not one of the 3 I would keep.

  6. A few years back I was at a 3 gun shoot one of the guys had his fancy AR that keep jamming on him , told him you have a 750 dollar AR with a 1000dollar Holograph site and your to Damn cheap too buy a little WD40 to lube the damn thing, LOL
