To be clear, the problem happens regardless of battery type. It does not happen every time with the 18650 Li Ion battery, but it does happen. This solution works with both types!
YOU WILL NEED A CHARGER IF YOU BUY THESE BATTERIES. If you don’t order the batteries in this link but want to order them elsewhere, make sure the brand does not contain the word “fire” anywhere in it. They are poor quality. Also make sure you order “Button Top, Protected” batteries. 👌
