sir, does the uppper reciever have standard threads for poossibly installing other handguards? and, could that tube be discarded? i was thinkung about maybe doing a carbine handguard on there to the shoulder. thx

I noticed on my extar the support rodhas an allen fitting, can it be unscrewed off and pt back on?
I understand that the charging handle is slotted and slides on the track but what keeps the charging handle in place while the weapon is in use and reciprocating or in the farthest rear position? The spring tension?
I just got done ordering mine. Probably wont be able to sleep until I have it in my hands and warmed up at the range. I plan on sleeping with it! Is that weird? LOL

Hey dumb shit…..that is not a support on top. It is the gas tube to cycle the bolt. Also you don't have to push out the front take down pin. Hence why there is not a complete circle in the front mount section. People like you should not be doing reviews when they are putting out info they have no clue bout.

your not supposed to tap out the front pin to take it apart just the back pin
New Frontier sells a tri or quad rail fore-grip.
is there a way to change out the forend on the gun? like say add a magpul or quad rail?

The Extar EXP is the sweetest little gun I have ever fired. It is extremely accurate, extremely well built, extremely lightweight, extreme fun to shoot and an extreme home defense weapon.
When they named Extreme Lightweight Pistol they meant it. This pistol is extreme. I would rather have an EXP in a life or death situation than any other AR Pistol for accuracy and quick target acquisition.

Yeah, I took the old bolt to the hardware store and found another one that was longer. I think it was a 1/4-20 bolt. The existing bolt is just long enough to pass through the pieces and get the nut on, there's not enough length to accommodate the extra thickness of the sling adapter. I'll try to make a video showing the process in a few days.
Did you have to replace the bolt when you added the sling adapter?
