I built an AR 15 from an Aero Precision lower, DS Arms 16″ mid length upper and Palmetto State Armory LPK,
The LPK had rust on the trigger/sear area and I polished it and now is a real smooth pull. I chose not to lighten the trigger due to the smooth pull and run and gun style of use.
The fit and finish on both the upper and lower are great, the only problem is the fit between the two pieces. I have a Bushmaster stripped upper receiver and when attached to the lower it fits perfect.
The Magpul accessories fit very good and give the gun a great feel. The Magpul pieces are not a needed item, just add cool points, fit and function is better though.

what about middys not cycling properly, i think the 14.5 carbine is the best carbine, i like the 16 in middy, but the 14.5 middy isnt going to cycle all ammo properly

I'm getting ready to do another AR build, dedicated A2 upper, mid length. Probably another month before ordering the barrel.
That is the perfect build, not all tons of crap added on very nice. I am going threw college for gunsmithing, and am going to be doing my first upper this coming month. I will post a video on my page so keep an eye open on my page.
Ha ha, you my friend have great hearing, I had the T.V. on while doing the video. You tube tried to edit the sound out and that is why it seems to be a little "off" when it comes to the sound and movement of my mouth.

i ordered a upper and bcg in jan and i am still waiting. i emailed them and they said there finishing up there barrels but no word on bcg 🙁
their cnc department has lost a lot of staff to other companies and they lost their QC and ar techs to rguns.
Get your bolt and carrier group yet they had some ready to ship not to long ago.
That's what I have been doing, It works in a pinch, I just want one for each rifle. I too lazy to keep switching it back and forth. I did recently purchase a SDI nickle boron BCG and then of course when I called DSArms about the BCG I ordered from them they just came in so at this moment I have my BCG from my Oct 2012 order in the mail. It took six months to get it. I have about 70% of the parts for another AR laying around so I guess I'll through another one together.
why dont you use the bcg out of your other ar?
I ordered my upper and BCG on 27OCT12 and got the upper in December, still no BCG. I had to use the BCG out of my other AR to break in the barrel. By the time I got to cheaper than dirt like my son did, they were out of BCGs. I checked their website after calling numerous times with no answer and they are shipping at the end of February. Every other website is out of everything also, so I won't cancel my order. Have you checked the prices of parts lately? Damn!

I cancelled my BCG order from DSA and ordered one from cheaper than dirt. Going to have it by Monday.

Nice carbine. Like the tan magpul furniture I just ordered the standard bbl mid length DSA upper. Fortunately I have carrier assembly. I don't know if the upper is on Back order or not yet – Keeping fingers crossed. hope you get to shoot yours soon
Thanks, I would check ebay, got a colt used carry handle for like $28.00-$29.00 shipped to the house. Check AR15.com for the markings on the carry handle to make sure its real.
