Here's a tip Pete. If your going to shoot your gun with the light on it, put a thin laser of gun grease or chapstick works great on the lenses of the tlr light so when you shoot it gunpowder doesn't stick to the lenses and ruin the lenses of the light. I've seen lenses go bad on the light because people ahootbthe gun a lot with the light on it and the powder tends to dull the lenses after a while
I have a TLR-2 G and I fired my G21 with it attached for the first time, unfortunately it left some marks on my polymer rails and I was wondering if this is usual? I understand the light is aluminum and the rails are plastic but I just wanted some input
Your area isn't the only one with those stupid sirens bud, they have an extra loud model where I live in Virginia that they blast for every stupid thing that happens no matter what time of the day or night it is. The worst part is they have it mounted right next to some apartments where people are trying to sleep. I'd hate to think about couples with babies that are trying to sleep.
I feel like the extra weight of the tlr1 on the 17 helps with accuracy and recoil. I shoot better with it on there. Also, I dont know if its the ammo, magtech target loads, but the light didnt really get dirty, even after 150 + rounds. I love the glock/light combo. Thats just me.
You got it made…At the outdoor range I go to you can only put one target up. They say its not allowed because it throws off other shooters aim which I think is a stupid response.
Pete, why not throw some saran wrap over the lens? You're not using the actual light in the daytime and it'll prevent that nasty powder shit from getting on there.
Hey pete… had to make a video to show you what i was doing to prevent weaponlight flash fogging on my glock 21. I wish lone wolf barrels had the coating that glock barrels do. It would be perfect then. I have my NFA paperwork in for my suppressor.. cant wait to be able to hunt cats in the neighborhood without getting busted.. LOL
Put a couple hundred more through the glock with the light attached and your aim will back to dead nuts. It's like anything the more you train the better you preform.
Sometimes an attached light can cause malfunctions, I think that it's more of an individual gun issue, and not a brand or style of gun problem. Good shooting!!
I have one on my G22. I've only shot 2 or 3 boxes of ammo with the light on and thankfully no stoppages so far. It does help nicely with the snappy recoil of the .40 though.
Looks like it shoots just fine to me. Also, we love ya Pete, but calm the fuck down ! The microphone on your camera isn't good enough to pick up all the sounds you're hearing in the house, we can barely hear that siren or the dogs.

I feel you on those nerves brother. I am the same way.
We have that horn here too in Upstate NY.
Fucking sirens and fucking dogs !!
A little chapstick on the lens before shooting. It will be alot easier to clean.

I have a he 4 21 with a tlr1hl. Never had a failure with light attached. You had shitty ammo
The failure is Winchester makes the worst ammunition you can get in any caliber.
I know its an old vid but I'm thinking maybe because of the added weight of the TLR you may have "limp wrist" which could have caused the failure.
I just bought this exact same gun with TLR-1 and pacmayer grip, except mine is the g21c.

Strange looking gun range!
I have a tlr1 on my beretta and it stays clean when flush with the barrel, also no fails yet, got video on youtube "beretta 96a1 night shooting"
Nope…we have a siren here in town too…lol…good 'ol WV for ya.

The worst day at the range is better that the best day at work.

NOOOOOO!

Four-letter vocabulary. Yech!
Pete, use regular white vinegar on the lens. Give it a soak with vinegar and scrub with a nylon brush and it will take that powder right off.

you have to get used to having that little bit of extra weight hanging off the front of the gun. give it time you will get used to it.
