The Midwest Industries Tactical Response AR 15 pistol is a quality firearm inside out. Let’s take an initial look at the pistol, take it to the range and talk about why, in the AR pistol vs SBR debate, I think the SBR is dead.

  1. I love Midwest industries. I have 2 AR15s from them and just a few weeks ago purchased the tactical response Midwest 308 rifle. I sold my Smith and Wesson and ruger AR15s to help pay for my 2nd Midwest AR15. I know there are other great brands but it's Midwest industries for me.

  2. You said it has a 11.5 barrel. So I am betting it's OAL is at least 26 inches. That means you can put a vertical grip on it. Look up the Franklin Armory XO 26, and read the aft approval letter.

  3. You need to go back to your Appleseed fundamentals. It doesn't change with the barrel length. You are "Heeling" your weapon in anticipation of the shot. Slow down breath and squeeze the trigger. Let the shot break as a surprise. Ball and dummy drills brother.

  4. If by progressive lenses you mean what us brits call varifocals I sympathise my job was returning shopping trolleys (carts) to the front of the store as you know they are made of metal rod in straight lines for 3 months when I was in amongst them if I turned suddenly I felt sea sick and thought I was gonna pass out

  5. I really enjoy my PSA 10.5" AR pistol (5.56). So far I got over a 1,000 rounds through it with no malfunctions. Pretty accurate for what it is. Makes a great home defense gun as well as a truck gun.

  6. It’s amazing the hoops you have to jump through, to call what essentially is a short-barreled rifle. Every pistol that I’ve owned, not one of them had a butt stock on it. Clearly what you’re holding, is a short-barreled rifle, it’s not a pistol. But because of the stupid laws, you have to pretend that there’s no butt stock on it, and simply call it by another name. That’s like calling grated zucchini, spaghetti.

  7. Gun laws are devised by the Peter Principle: non gun owners elevated to their maximum level of incompetence. Don't get me started either! In Illinois we have to have a firearm owners identification card to own an automatic KNIFE.

  8. Mainly the 11.5 was better for reliability because of the gas system that didnt needed to be tweaked, the 10.5/10.3" barrel needs a well tuned gas system to run reliably and smooth.

  9. The batf is ridiculous. I have my federal firearms license because I do gun smithing part time. I can bypass a lot of the bs you have to go through to get certain firearms but they are still completely stupid in my opinion. Nice video too buddy!

  10. AR pistols are not allowed in IDPA or USPSA, currently, whereas, SBRs are. Of course, I'm talking about pistol calibers versus rifle calibers. So, those of us who shoot competitively, are forced to go the SBR route. I "built" an SBR , via form 1, which I efiled and got my tax stamp back in 10 days. I wish IDPA and USPSA allowed AR pistols , because shouldering a brace or a stock, isn't any different in my opinion.

  11. Hi Brian:
Off the topic, but I really like that camo hat you've been wearing. It appears to be vented (summer hat) but not sure. Looks a little thick and heavy for a non rain hat? Like it and where did you get it? Thanks

  12. Nice Rant Brian! 😁
    Nice PISTOL. 😃
I went 300 ACC for mine. My can is waiting for it's parole also…
Try squaring your shoulders up to your target more. Just Sayin.
Holosun 503GU….would be a good option. Small, light, tough, affordable and for just a few bucks you can get some flip caps from their web page for it…
I went GREEN with the ELITE model……😁
    Yes the SBR is dead!
    Best Wishes Brian..
