  1. I bought a Nikon Monarch 3. It came with flip up lens covers, and all I can say is the flip up covers are junk! It takes considerably less effort to remove the covers than it does to open them. Consequently, the lens covers pop off every time you try to open them up.

Nikon will definitely be hearing from me.

  2. I ended up contacting them back and told them I dont want somthing that looked used. When I went to register this one it did not go through, that told me it was definately used. The new one they sent out was in new condition and the registration went through right away.

  3. I think you got a returned scope. The telltale signs are the "used" operations manual. Probably not a big deal, but someone else had that scope first, and for whatever reason, returned it. I hope it's working out for you.

  5. That is definetly a problem with optics planet (packaging etc.) I got a nikon buckmasters for my birthday and I can assure u it looked nothing like yours did on the inside…got mine at bass pro…thats why im always weary of buying online…if im gonna drop hundreds of dollars I need to see it in person.

  6. I am making preparations to change the gasblock out for a bare bones light weight block. But I need to summon up the courage to drill the holes in the handguard. Putting a rail piece in the handguard is the last piece to this rifle….hopefully. lol. I got a brake coming in soon.

  7. having that bipod on your barrel kind of defeats the purpose of the free float tube…with a free float tube, you can put as much pressure as you want on it and since it does not touch the barrel it will not afftect your POA. on your rig, when prone or when the barrel heats up, your poa WILL shift. Soulution-get a harris bipod swivel stud and pit it at the end of your forearm. you'll be rockin'. great channel man. A+
