Hey guys, glad to see you're making videos for the AR Platforms! Could you do one about this very same Trigger and testing it with an FRS like Atrius Safety three positions safety?
None. I will stick to Geissele, Schmidt, and slicked up milspecs over any cassette trigger.
Both my AR15 & 10 have trigger tech diamond triggers one in single stage the other in duel stage. Both are excellent and easy to install or adjust highly recommend them. Great video thanks.
None! Here’s why: steel case ammo especially in .7.62×39 w/ enhanced firing Requires a min of 6-6.5 lbs to consistently pop the primer.
If I want to have a 2.5 or 3lb trigger without spending a fortune on a trigger box.. I buy WMD firing assembly, and I order the lighter weight springs from another company. Once it’s set, there no maintenance, no slippage and no BS!
I’ve assembled thousands of lowers, and fired every ammo, tested so many combos.. there’s ONLY one choice for me. An on an AR, when you start dropping below 4#, which is ideal for even a target rifle, it tends to want to double tap without intention. Which is dangerous.

I like a light trigger a lot but in an AR going much below 3.5 lbs isn't cheap and I think 3.5 lbs gives you at least 90% of the potential accuracy increase that a light trigger can give. The Duty trigger shines in that respect but a LaRue MBT2 or Rise RA140 still gets you that 90% but I pay around $80 for those.
A couple years ago Brownells had a sale on green Diamond AR triggers for $189 I think and there was a discount coupon so I got two for future projects. I put one in a Strike trigger jig and it feels sweet, better than my SR Gold and at least on par with my Elftmann but I haven't really compared them scientifically or head to head. They are just waiting for an AR upper to come along that I want to squeeze every last bit of accuracy out of. I want special guns to put my special triggers in.
I have a Diamond in a bolt action and that's great. I bought a Special when I found it on sale to have a really good emergency spare.
I also have a bolt action with a Bix & Andy TacSport which is very nice but not as nice as the Diamond.
I will still buy some budget triggers but when I want more than a budget trigger it's going to be TriggerTech if they make what I'm looking for.
Case in point: I going to order an LPK style Nickel-teflon coated trigger to use with an HT Trigger Kicker. It says it's a 3.5 lb trigger and I'm going to really see what it can do before I install the Trigger Kicker because the trigger is $32 and if it's 75% of the improvement of an $80 trigger, I have a couple LPK style AR triggers to upgrade and I'll never buy a complete LPK again, just partial LPKs and a nickel-teflon trigger unless I want a budget match trigger, a TriggerTech Duty or a Diamond.
I don't see the point of the Adaptable, if you're going to spend that much, just spend a little more to get the Diamond.
But if you see a Duty trigger close to $100 it's worth the upgrade over an $80 trigger and any of the adjustable TriggerTechs on sale for under $200 is a solid buy if you have a rifle that deserves it.
Currently own 6 TT's, 1 Diamond 2 stage and 5 Duty's also 2 stage. Had a small and issue with the Diamond that was very quickly addressed by TT's CS department, seems you might want to deep clean around 500+/- if shooting suppressed. The Duty version has a stronger reset vs the Diamond, great for general purpose/working guns.
Triggers come down to options and feel and TriggerTech does a great job in providing options with operational type (single or two stage), blade shape and weight ranges to really dial in the feel you prefer. Life’s too short to have to shoot with bad triggers.
