  1. What is funny about these new guns.. The M203 cutout on the M4 clone barrels. I have them on my Colt 14.5" M4 A3 uppers, but that was before they ever came on guns and they were just surplus. I had a 16" M4 upper and swapped it with a police officer wanting an M4 barrel for his Colt LE carbine patrol rifle. I got his heavy barrel which made my rare preban Colt tactical A3 carbine lower complete as an original gun.

I am old school. I am preban and got through the whole preban/postban bullshit unscathed while I was still young. The marketplace after that bullshit law sunset'ed was nice. The marketplace now is so crazy with what is being produced.

Why do they do they still do the cutout for these new guns? It is pointless for 99.9% of people buying these AR 15's. And then it is for the guys who want to buy a 37mm clone to have an even heavier turd of a gun. I would tell most people to focus more on barrel twist and what grain of ammo you are shooting, than if you have a M4 clone.

I built my Bushmaster AR and I put a Bushmaster A3 16" heavy barrel upper that came with a 1/9 twist. That is the gun I shoot the easy to get 55 grain bullets with. I get using M4 handguards over the scrawny old school carbine ones. I get having the flatops uppers over the fixed handle uppers, Why do they still do the bayonet lugs? Who owns a bayonet? What citizen would use a bayonet? I think that is what I do like about the new school AR15 uppers out on the market. They don't worry about the military accessory bullshit. Lightweight and functional. Better bolt carriers and bolts, better triggers, integrated front ends. etc etc. Building a smarter Ar 15.

While I own so many Military look alikes, these new M4 clone guns kinda crack me up. I do like the fact this one comes with an Auto bolt over a semi auto bolt. I don't believe full auto will ever be a legal option for citizens, and if the shit does ever hit the fan.. In a government less society wasting ammo with full auto doesn't seem like a great idea anyhow. If you want to have a AR just to have an AR, sure, why not the Bushmaster clone? If you wanted to spend your money more wisely and make a smarter AR, there are different ways I'd go about it than starting with this gun.

  2. Got my bushmaster after watching many videos on it and one of them was your video. I love the quality of the rifle and honestly bushmaster seems to be the better choice than a Colt at the moment due to price and quality. There is no play between the receivers at all and the finish was perfect. One thing I will say the rifle has a commercial buffer tube so I am switching that out for a milspec one but the rifle is perfect. I love it and it shoots great.

  3. What do i think of the bushys wirh 14.5 barrel with izzy brake.. and do u see anything wrong with the Remington owned bushmaster compared to the older bushmaster before they sold company and became windam weapon

  4. The OEM that came with my bush was total junk, FFs half the time. switched to magpul gen 3s, not one hiccup. this is a versatile rifle and the ability to install optics quickly makes it so. its my goto battle rifle.

  5. read complaints about older models.mostly gas keys not being staked.bushmaster must have been paying attention 'cause mine, recently bought for 600$,is well staked and could not find any problems.thank you for these videos.they are straight to the point.GOD bless.

  6. Grest rifle, Ive had it since 2010. Its a tack driver with the iron sights. When I remove the carry handle (rest sight) and then place it back in same rail position it holds zero great. A few years ago i thought I had to have a quad rail up front. I hate it. It is too big around especially with the covers in place on the unused portions of the rail. I am going to remove it and reinstall my original hand guard without any rail. The rail in back where the carry handle goes is enough. I may install am MOE Magpul m-lok rail.
