  1. I Have an aero precision 20 inch in 223 wylde. With a spikes tactical nickel boron bcg ,same exact problem . I'll come back to yall next week to see if the problem is fixed . thanks for the info !!!

  2. So I just built my first helper everything went smoothly according to plan as I go to put a live round in the chamber my bolt carrier group did not go into battery and I couldn't figure it out I thought I installed my Barrel in correctly so I put in my old Barrel it did the same thing after watching your video I went ahead and removed the O-ring for my extractor and now my bolt carrier group goes into battery perfectly so thank you for that video it helped me out

  3. I have the same sharps bcg. I'm having trouble too. The first time i and only time i installed it into my new ar15, a colt le6920. It wouldn't go into battery but only on the first round of a magazine. Mags were not fully loaded, 5 to 10 rounds at most in each magazine. If it only stops short of battery but only on the first round any idea what that could be?

  4. Thanks for posting this video! I was having the same problem with bolt not seating closed. After watching this video I looked at the brass I picked up and it had the marks. I took the o-ring off and cycled 10 rounds with no problem seating . Going to have to wait until tomorrow and test it at the range to make sure. Thanks again!

  5. Your explanation of your solution doesn’t really make sense. The pressure exerted by the “doughnut” is greater than that exerted by the spring itself. As a result, you can actually reliably run your setup without the spring and only the doughnut. Therefore, I wouldn’t think “breaking in” the spring would have any effect. Perhaps, in the process of breaking down and reassembling your BCG, something that was misaligned or stuck (such as the extractor pin) realigned or was freed.

  6. They had a recall on those reliabot heads. They were cracking. I had the same problem and I contacted them. They told me to keep running the rifle and it would wear in. I did and it works fine now. Apparently a wear in situation is what to expect for their bolts and complete assemblies.
    Thanks for the good review.
