Also I definitely would not trust a clone with my life, or for any planned event. You don't plan to be shot at only prepare for it. That's why I own an EOTech.
I have a very real EOTech 556 and another red dot sight that is a CLONE XPS. Having both I can attest that they are very different quality wise. They aren't very different in function but quality and materials are where you can tell a big difference. The EOTech will last forever, the clone will last one to two trips to the range.
The reticules are very different also. The real one uses lasers to make a reticule (more expensive), the clone uses LEDs. Both are both eyes open shooting.
If you like guns you should come to Britain were so loose on gun laws we literally licence full black/tan airsoft guns. (sarcasm(:)

Well first it isn't a scope, it's a red dot. But no, this is not a cheap Chinese knock off. This is a real EOTech mounted on a real AR15.

I got an EoTech 551 or 511 from ebay. I'm not sure if it's real because it takes LR44 batteries not N batteries. It does say "L3 EOTech" on the battery cover, like this one in the video. Except it only says it one the left side. It also says "FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT/MILITARY USE". And it has a laser caution sticker. Is this really an EOTech? Please help.

Like sgtnick09 said the EOTechs are actually pretty cheap. Yes there are cheaper red dots out there, heck I even have one, but EOTechs aren't ridiculously priced and will last forever.
@POPJack1717, but EOTechs are only about 350$, at my local Gun shop, AND I live by a military base. EOTechs aren't that expensive, and have that awesome Taticool.
How did you choose this over an aimpoint?

Well the EOTech is actually cheap when compared to the Aimpoint Micros. I have enough money invested in my AR15, I don't mind spending a few extra bucks on a red dot for it.

Excellent piece of Gear, glad we got issued this stuff in the Marine Corps, because it's expensive. What really gets me is at it's core it's a high priced red dot.. Same thing with aim point. Great gear but for 600$ i can buy another gun. And since i am not in afghanistan. I have no practical use for a 600$ red dot. But great gear. Though.. Just waaaay over priced.
But there is nothing except the price stopping someone from using it for airsoft… so I guess ItsCreatee could use it on an airsoft gun if he wants to buy it.

i want to get one for the AR-15
has anyone here ever used both a holographic sight and a red dot sight. specifically what im asking is if any have used both please tell me which you personally think is better and why or what you notice is different. i only want those who have used real sights and i dont care what any of you have found in that retarted COD or whatever retarted videos games you have since the real thing is very different from a the stuped game
i have had my bushnell holosight 1st gen since 1999, made even before the eotechs , but it still works fine and even has the same sight picture as eotechs , i have had it on several guns from shotguns to 50 ae desert eagles , 22 rugers , countless ar-15 . for what its worth if eotech lasts as long as my 300.00 holosight its worth it. i want a tan 512 eotech i even got 1 of them in black .eotechs rock.
