Does the front sight post bother you at all? If you had the option, would you go with a flip up front sight instead?
What kind would you recommend?
Having a red dot absolute co-witnessing the front sight seems kind senseless since your targets can be reached with both iron sight and the HWS

In what way is an EOTech 552 designed for .308? It's not like it has a BDC reticle.

It's always centered if you can see the reticle, that's the main point of the sight! 🙂

I don't see anything wrong with GI mags. I like Mag-Pul fine, but a Colt magazine does the same thing. People are very susceptible to fancy advertisements, cool packaging, and what other people tell them.
the 552 has another reticle doesnt it? one with 3 or 4 MOA dots and a dot with hash marks at 12, 3, and 9 oclock? any chance of showing that view?

@buff24seven I replaced all the followers with magpul anti-tilt ones so they function good. I do love my pmag though.

@TheChewBears I didn't run steel case ammo in there. I just had that lying around so I stuck it in a magazine to have for an emergency. When I go shooting I use brass. Regardless, I sold the rifle to help pay for my bike.
What a nice rifle shame that you're feeding crappy ammo into it! It's going to save you money in the long run if you don't use steel casings… Just an FYI

@krazyk86cu hey man, live the vids. I have a dpms with a 511 eotech. Only difference is a have a low pro railed gas block and I want to install the magpul buis. As everybody knows, or has to either be on a riser, on the quad rail, or I would have to swap out to a sight post gas block like you have. What would you do if you were me?

Hey man, nice video. I have a quick question – When you are firing your AR and using your EOTech, is it every annoying to see your front sight? Does it ever bother you? and would you prefer it if there were no front sight? Or it doesn't matter?

@IrishPride691 NV mode on eotechs only makes the optic compatible with night vision goggles or scope. The eotech won't function as night vision on it's own
@xPOSSUM45x So your irons can serve as a ready backup if your primary optic fails
