I have always been a fan of Holographic Weapon Sights. They can be found everywhere from Airforce fighter jets to sitting on top of most of the SOF carbines in war zones. My SOF unit was one of the first military units to be issued the original EOTech way back at what seems like a hundred years ago. They never let me down.
Fast forward, and there are many other companies making Holographic Weapon Sights for combat rifles. So, which one is currently the best? I enjoy doing “Best of the Best” testing and we put a lot of work into making those videos worth your time to watch.
Which brands to pick? I went with the two most popular right now, the EOTech and the UH-1; and then added one that is the latest “Hotness” on the web, the DOT.
All three are awesome. All three have advantages, disadvantages, and differences that you may deem as a pro or con.
Big thanks to all three companies for letting me void their warranties; I was rough on these things.

i must know if your weapon light still works and if it does work i must know what light your run on that rifle especially if it went into an oven at 200 multiple times and survived
EOTECH sucks. They brake and won’t hold a zero.
From the EOTECH manual for the EXPS family: The HWS has an auto shutdown feature.
• If the sight is turned on by pressing the UP button, it will automatically shut itself
OFF 8 hours after the last pushbutton control is used.
• If the sight is turned on by pressing the DOWN button, it will automatically shut
OFF after 4 hours.
Country of origin: the DOT comes from China, as best I can tell. Vortex and EOTECH are US made.
Great video, shake awake technology on all my red dot optics have a manual shut off. We're talking $200 and under optics with the donut of death.
When transporting I just manually shut it off. Even though red dots have insane battery life
I'm surprised holographic sights hasn't incorporated that technology
Dude i know your humble and say "your no subject matter expert " and I sub to several sites but your videos are at a different level I own both eotech and h1 gen2 so im very familiar with them to say the least but again your videos are a different level pure info and to the exact point and extremely thorough L&R…..and humbly maybe which one is submersible/how far how long….
I have all three and they’re all good only optic I wouldn’t go to war with is the DOT it doesn’t feel as rugged as the Huey and the Eotech.
