How much did the build cost
What mags do you use? Can you use standard 5.56 Pmags?
I have the Cmmg .458 with a 1-8 vortex…LOVE IT! Great Video… Subscribing!!
I'm having a hell of time with my build that is almost identical to yours except mine is using a Wilson Combat barrel kit. I cannot get the Wilson Combat adjustable gas block to fit under two different handguards I have tried. Just curious if you had any issues with interference with yours? I've reached out to Wilson Combat for assistance. I wish they would spell out the height needed to what handguards work.
That was peacefully violent. I love my 458 socom.
Awesome slow motion @11:00. That 458 is a thumper! It's basically a 45-70 for the AR platform.
Hey, Love the video. I'm interested in building a 458. FYI, I'm also a WA resident, on the Peninsula.
I have two questions: 1) where can I obtain an A.P. upper made for the 458, there is nothing listed on their website. 2) I recently returned to WA and was under the impression that the profile bolt carrier you mentioned was prohibited. Please tell me I'm mistaken, as I would like to get mine out of storage from out of state. Thanks, keep up the rockin' and shootin'! OH!, (bonus question!) have you encountered the 375 Socom, and do you have an opinion?
wow. that is truly dreadful.
i want one 🙂
helluva firearm.
Just a thought but the new geissele buffer and spring are a lot stiffer and that's what I will use in my 458 build you might like to try that being it is a multi strand spring
@10:53 Taste the rainbow!!!
This is neat you guys are into the 458 SOCOM. I'm in the middle of building a couple myself. Once you put the adjustable Gas Block on, did you go back to a regular carbine buffer? Look forward to more videos on this. Thanks guys!
The drama of shooting soda bottles in slow mo…
Orangette is delicious, and I'm sad that you killed it, but I'm glad you used a SOCOM to do the deed.
I follow you guys on Facebook and only get updates seldomly. I have to check your page regularly to get updates. This is their way of making you pay to promote. Regardless I am a fan. At least I can stay up to the minute on YT.
Looks like a great lil rabbit gun..
What load are you using with the 405's?
Sweet slammer
That looks like a fun rifle. I hope you get to take some game with it this coming season!
what a brutal caliber!
I went with the .50 Beowulf. I don't reload and my local cabela's carries ammo and it's almost half the price of .458. That is a cool rifle.
Need to fire up the smoker with that Cherrywood!
looks and sound awesome…
Science!
BIG BORE ROCKS!
