Big doe shot during an antlerless only gun hunt in Shawano County,WI. The shot was roughly 120 yards. Hit was far back and low but lethal. Self-Filmed by Cougar Geenen. Gun was a Remington 870 w/ fully rifled barrel and Nikon SlugHunter Scope, shooting Remington Accu-tip Sabots Slugs.

  1. your shooting from a freaking house almost, it even had windows. A solid rest, tons of time and you gut shot the deer. Did you even take the shotgun out before the season to check the zero of the scope? I call BS on the range of 125 yards, because I could see that your scope ring was set between 4 and 5 power. The Nikon slug hunter is 3×9 and for a 125 yard shot that scope should have been cranked all the way to 9x. Plus where in the thick woods are you going to get a 100 yard shot? In truth probably half the distance if that…. and you still gut shot the animal. Hope you ate the venison what was left after cutting out all the bile and piss tainted meat.
