So many people are losing their shit over the price look when the video was made 2014 If it was a gun then it was by default more expensive. Just in the past year or so we've had huge price drops making this more affordable. Now you can build it for 1k ball park. Back then I could see the $1900 price range

To each his own but in my view you wasted a lot of money for very little return. I.e. $179 for a BCG…really?
WHY would I buy all these parts at a cost of $1923.00 when I can buy the Rugar 556 an exceptional AR for $600.00 ?
Today Palmetto State Armory complete lower $149.99 and complete 1-8" 16" stainless upper $249.99 with free shipping, total $399.98. Only an idiot would but two grand into weapon for war! Palmetto makes some great stuff and sale so much you are not paying for a name, but quality.
Some idiots pay four hundred plus for a pocket knife, those are the same idiots that put two grand plus into a rifle, more money than brains with pretty boy rifle to show off at the range, you know the one's that hang all crap they can find on them that they will use, but will give the enemy a good laugh when take it out of their "cold died hands".
Today, 4-26-2017, Palmetto State Armory has a 5.56 Nato stainless 16" 1-8" complete upper receiver, complete lower trigger assembly, pistol grip, adjustable buttstock, buffer tube, spring, and buffer for $329.99. If you buy an Anderson striped lower receiver at $50.00 and rear sight at $15.99 (eBay) you come in at $395.98 and damn good carbine.

you could have gotten a fully ambi LWRC for about 2000 with all the upgraded parts the better models come with

People are getting RIPPED for bolt carrier groups. I bought a BCG off Amazon for 40$ have not had one issue through 5000 rounds, works great. Way overpriced rifle no need to spend 2000$ for a rifle I could build that would work the exact same for $700
Never haved own an ar-15 myself i was thinking of one for fun first of all but also the whole INCH, BOB, SHTF scenario and a few people said don't buy an ar-15 because the magazine and other things will get cought on brush and if your running and go prone quick it will hit the ground. They also said get the gas impregnated if you do and don't get a feed ram or whatever (sorry not sure if that is right) they said when your gun jams or whatever you are stuck slamming the ram several times to make it work. What do you AR lovers have to say? I have no cards in the game and want others 2 cents. What should i watch out for if i do want a SHTF ready AR15? Would it be better to just buy some other simi auto rifle in about the same caliber? Im talking about the 5.56 rounds or .308 rounds here. Im not worried about the whole .22 convertion kit (they do have there place though). Any and all guidance would help. I love to shoot but never owned an ar-15 and only shot one once so i don't know a whole lot about the AR in particular. Thanks in advance!
