Here I discuss what parts are actually manufactured by gun companies vs which parts are manufactured by an unknown manufacturer and sold to all the popular name brands.

Is it worthwhile buying that expensive lower parts kit?
Should you spend money on that expensive M4 cut profile barrel?

This video will air out some of the dirty secrets about who actually manufactures what parts and for who.

  1. I LISTENED TO YOUR DISSERTATION ON THE AR AN THOUGHT IT QUITE GOOD. TO RELATE THAT MUCH INFORMATION QUICKLY, WITHOUT NOTES AND IN A GOOD TONE WAS GREAT.

I CAN'T REALLY ADD MUCH TO SHARE WITH YOU, SORRY. BUT, I HAVE NOTICED WHEN SHOOTING CHEEP CORROSIVE AMMO, IF THE WEAPON IS WASHED WITH DISH SOAP AND WATER, THEN DRIED, THEN OILED IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHOOTING THERE ARE ZERO BAD EFFECTS.

    GREAT INFO.

  2. Six years later, and it is a whole new ball game! Anderson and PSA lowers for $39.99. 80% ghost lowers with no serial numbers with 7 inch barrels. Bump stocks are about to be banned. All of the old rules are out the window!

  3. What u fools don’t realize is that their are not hundreds of barrels makers out there maybe 2 or 3 in the U.S . Like he said u can buy a colt barrel manufactured by Bushmaster with a clot stamp. But like most stupid Americans rather pay more for a “stamp”clot barrel made by Bushmaster than save a 100.00 and buy a barrel from Bushmaster.

  4. There isn't one internet "expert" commenting on this video who has shot enough rounds through enough rifles to have any idea what they are talking about. Lucky Gunner ran a torture test on four off the shelf Bushmaster basic carbines – a mid-tier rifle in anybody's book. The guns ran 10,000 rounds with less than a couple dozen malfunctions (all with steel case ammo). Other than shooting out the barrels (which is to be expected) the rifles were still completely serviceable after 10k rounds. The average AR-15 will never see 10,000 rounds. Looks to me like this video is spot on. Buy American parts from reputable dealers and put your gun together properly and you will have a GTG fighting rifle. Spend $2000+ on a rifle if you want – it's your money. But you CAN easily build a basic fighting AR for well under a grand! Check it out: http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/brass-vs-steel-cased-ammo/

  5. I love the video but I do believe gas piston guns to be more innovative and reliable. Less fouling on the bolt seems like a clear choice. I don't think piston setups should be added to DI built firearms. My example refers to firearms designed for gas piston setup from the factory such as the POF P415

  6. I like to go ahead and use THREE end-plates! Why?…. you may go ahead and ask…. Because I'm a rebel…. and that's what we go ahead and do! GO AHEAD!!! The other reason is the buttstock and buffer tube went ahead and flew out of my $7.00 lower receiver I went ahead and bought after going ahead and watching this video! GO AHEAD!
