Dream Rifle Series – Eotech/Unity Tactical Optic Setup

The Dream Rifle Build is just about done. In this week’s episode, I’ve put the Eotech XPS on a Unity Riser and also added the Eotech G33 magnifier mounted to a Unity Flip-to-Center mount. I’m loving this optic setup. The 2.26″ center optical height makes it easier to shoot with more of a “heads-up” position, which gives you better peripheral vision and situational awareness while you’re shooting. Let me know what you think of this setup in the Comments and don’t forget to Subscribe!

  1. I use different buffers with Geissele Springs without any issue, Does not seem to be a diameter issue at all. I use the BCM MK2 T2 & T3 systems in most of my builds lately though as I find it works better and slightly cheaper as well. And lets be Honest About Unity, They are a friggin rip off with what they charge but their is not much competition for what they produce and is why they actually get it.

  2. Awesome build! I just finished mine. 11.5" Geissele Super-Duty complete upper, w/ the Super42 & H3 buffer, Dead Air Sandman S. ADM UIC lower. just over 1K rounds and no issues.

  3. Yeah the Geissele Super 42 is a total ripoff. The only benefit you get is a slightly longer spring life before replacement. A Sprinco Blue is 100% of the reliability and performance at 75% lifespan for 20% cost compared to the Super 42. I really like the Armaspec srs but there's nothing at all wrong with a generic H buffer and a Sprinco.

  4. I know it's a year later but, the Geissele website says that the Super 42 is not recommended for 300 BLK out subsonic rounds and I have a 14.5 build that runs flawlessly. Just my 2 cents.

  5. Sling.. VTAC Can’t go wrong. Silent captured springs. You’ll never look back. Armaspec even… I use em in all builds. No thwang. Very smooth and seems to always perform for me. I put Superlative adjustable gas blocks on everything just to tune it out. If you tune it with 55 grain. You’ll be good with all if you use heavier ammo like most, tune it for what you run. I build the hell outta that system you’re dealing g with. Ambi lower Radian, ADM, or, now Griffins forged is just like ADM as far as controls. But priced great for ambi. Just stripped.
Always a VLTOR MUR w/forward assist. Nothing compares. As far as fit finish n being outta the way n in the right place. I’ll never waiver there. My build I’m finishing now, I’m running a Cruterion Core14.5 w/ the Griffin M4SDFlashComp. 3 in 1. Flash suppression compensator n brake. All under $100 n the best by far. I’ve tried warcomps, SOL hybrids. Both. And another I forget but it only takes the sandman suppressor. Anything A2 comp will fit the griffin.

  6. There’s a company that makes a higher cheek weld for your 2.26 height. Damn thing costs as much as the stock or more. But it works. Also clears while all in to charge your rifle. Man get a JP Silent captured setup with the extra different spring weight. If you have an adjustable gas block, you can tune it to almost zero recoil/rise. I build that rifle all the time. Gisselle’s overpriced bro. Guys pushing g it get it free. There’s way better out there if ya look. Trigger maybe not but I can get almost 3 LaRue’s for price of a SSA-E. Check out Griffin for ambi lower hand guards muzzle devices n suppressors. Their barrels are great too. Just my been there n fixed it POV.
