The white/blue is 365nm wavelength and the purple is 396nm wavelength UV (not as strong as 365) it will get some of the same results as the 365 but the 365 will make UV reactive objects clearer to see while the 395 would make it glow too, but the purple would be brighter than the object and not be as clearly lit. Just what I've experienced and learned.
