Nikon recently announced their much anticipated successor to the popular P1000 superzoom bridge camera. Release date will be sometime in February, 2025 with very similar features to the Nikon P1000. This camera is like no other in that goes from a nice wide angle of 24mm to a super zoom of 3000mm (125x). Same sensor and and lens as the P1000 and expect the same image quality. Feel free to check the channel for in depth reviews on this and all bridge cameras from Nikon to Sony and everything in between!

  1. We had the P900 back in 2016 and used it in our Holidays at Kenia.
Maybe there are much better cameras but for wild life shooting, where you sometimes have not much time to take a Photo .. man this cameras are Perfect.

  2. I have the P1000 and love it (I hear many complaints about image quality, but once one knows how to BEST use the P1000, the results are GREAT!)

I am willing to pay a premium for a new Nikon P Series camera IF … ???

So Nikon, are you listening? I want the "Nikon P2K" (i.e. P2000, clever huh?). I will pay much more (i.e. extra) for any leaps added …

ONE: 4K 60p (come on, FLYING BIRDS need 60p),

TWO: a little better AutoFocus technology,

THREE: less camera JERK/shake (actually I want zero); when engaging Zoom motor from a fully extended position (it briefly jerks/shakes the image [e.g. from 3000mm to ~2800mm] when the motor is just engaged while retracting from fully extended, even when camera is BOLTED down) … the solve for now is too not fully extend the lens, i.e. stop zoom just shy of 3000mm.

FOUR: A SIMPLE zoom REMOTE FOR HANDS OFF control (while ZOOMed)(wired could be ok too)!!!

FIVE: I want my camera to actually be usable while charging (via USB-C brick)!!!!

those are the BIG things I will PAY much more for (many little things also needed) for the New "Nikon P2K"!!!!!
