The AR-15 platform gives you endless ways to tune recoil, but not all of them make sense, especially if reliability matters.

In this video, Brandon breaks down two rifles: a competition-style build and a duty-grade setup, and shows what actually makes them shoot flat, not just soft.

  1. Amendment II

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state,

the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed…………Nothing more nothing less.

We are the Militia, and when the Second Amendment was written (18th Century), "well regulated" meant "well trained and equipped," not controlled.

  2. I can certainly appreciate the benefits of reducing the recoil of anything, but I have to think that the people that are complaining about the recoil of an AR15 are the same people complaining that the M14 is too heavy.

  3. For my 2Gun rigs I use the less Gas and less mass moving as possible. I use Centy 14.5 MW HF with PW NOX9 KEYMO , BRT EZ TUNE 0.073 Gas Tube , Brownells LW BCG / Centy Bolt , Springco Yellow and KAK 1.7oz Buffer .
Not a fan of Adj Gas blocks. I favor BRT route . 0.073 Middy Tube is equivalent to 0.070 gas port size. Every 12k or so rounds you do have to swap out the Tube.
When I swapped my barrel T 17k rounds . I had 3 malfunctions and that's it . The gun ran like a top . You could legitimately shoot it FA 1 handed and it not move at all .

  4. Is this for 8-10 year olds starting out with a 22 and 223? I could understand the recoil of a 223 being a little surprising to a small child. The loud noise for the first time too.
